As a Sophomore at the Tisch Institute of Global Sport, I am passionate about athlete representation, NIL, sports contracts, and the future of sports. Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in time management, customer service, and adaptability. After playing, watching, and attending sports events, I combined my deep passion for sports with a growing interest in law. I am eager to continue investing in my professional experiences and education to make meaningful contributions to the sports industry. After my undergraduate studies, I plan to continue exploring my passion for law by attending law school and pursuing my biggest passion—learning.

When times are tough, I was taught to take my thoughts and feelings to God. As a child, I prayed, but I never knew Jesus. I didn’t know how impactful reading the bible, praying, and having faith was. However, I always knew that one day, when I was older, I needed a relationship with God. I knew God was real, but I didn’t know just how real. Now, years older, I know. I know that God isn’t just someone in the sky using magic to affect the world and everyone in it. As I write this now, I realize even more how God was always with me, waiting for me to start my faith journey. God has been waiting for me to start living a life that is filled with his light.
As a child, I was forced to go to church every Sunday. I can remember now waking up early, putting on my “Sunday’s best”, which was usually a nice dress and sandals, my mom doing my hair, and rushing to the car to make it to church on time. That was our routine every Sunday. I didn’t realize it then, but that was my mom planting a seed of the gospel in my life and my siblings, all with the faith that the seed would grow through God. For so long, I took God for granted; I took my life and all of my blessings for granted, but God never left me. Through so many life challenges, God watched over and took care of me.
My toughest battle was my senior year of high school, when I thought that I knew exactly where I was supposed to go and who I was going to be, and Jesus showed me another way. I had my eyes set on a certain college and living a certain life, one that was not of the Lord. A life of dishonesty and unfaithfulness. A life of this world, but in my darkest time, I knew that only one who could help me was Jesus. When I didn’t know where else to go, I went to Jesus. After that, I knew I could only be me if I had Jesus by my side. I knew that I couldn’t continue down a path of unrighteousness.
Now I have been renewed by God after fully accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, as the truth and light of my life. After a long journey of living for the world, I’ve been given the opportunity to live through Jesus and live as an ambassador to Christ. Within the past year, I have gained new experiences, been renewed by God, and gained a community that I have wanted for a long time. I look back now to that girl who hated going to church or that senior in high school who thought she knew what he life was going to be like, and all I can do is praise God. I praise God for being the greatest impact in my life.

My passion for the sports industry began with a moment of intensity, grit, and entertainment while watching the 2013 NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs. I was only seven years old, sitting on the edge of the couch, cheering for both teams because I couldn’t choose. I will never forget that game in which my eyes were completely opened to the magic of sports that connect millions of people around the world. From that point on, sports became more than entertainment to me. It became my dream not to play but to lead and continue building the industry to be the best.
Over the years, I’ve continued to collect these impactful moments in what I like to think of as my personal “book of the game”, from game 7 NBA final 2013, NFL Championship 2020, LSU vs Iowa women's basketball championship, to UCONN women’s basketball team. These teams and winning moments added so much to my decision to enter the sports industry not only for their winning spirits but for the social impact they added to so many communities. I hope to use my love for the sports industry and positively impact it with my love for law to become a sports attorney focusing on ways to help athletes and organizations build healthy and meaningful platforms for others.
I intend to do that by becoming a sports attorney, combining my love for sports with a deep commitment to justice and ethical leadership. My goal is to work with athletes, teams, and organizations to ensure their platforms are healthy, sustainable, and inspiring. This will hopefully allow sports to continue growing not only for fans, but for future generations of athletes and leaders. I know first hand how much power and influence sports figures hold in society from their influence over conversations on race, gender, equity, leadership, and what we buy, so I want to help protect their rights, advocate for their causes, and ensure they are supported both on and off the field to empower others.
Legal representation in the sports world is about much more than contracts or negotiations. It’s about creating structures that encourage fair play, mental wellness, community impact, and long-term growth. Whether it's guiding a young athlete through endorsement deals, helping a team navigate compliance and governance, or advocating for fair treatment across gender and racial lines, I see myself using the law to serve as a bridge between talent and purpose.
To achieve this, I plan to pursue a legal education with a focus on sports law, internships with law firms or organizations rooted in sports, and active engagement in the sports community through mentoring, volunteering, and leadership roles. I am currently studying at New York University in Sports Management with a concentration in Sports Law. I want to remain close to the heart of sports, the people, the stories, the culture, while bringing my legal skills to elevate those voices and protect their missions.
Ultimately, my hope is to help shape the future of sports as a more inclusive, fair, and powerful space, a space where athletes are celebrated not just for what they do in competition, but for who they are and the positive change they inspire. Just like that little kid in 2013 who couldn’t decide which team to cheer for, I’m still in awe of it all. And now, I want to be a part of making it better for everyone.
