I am a mother of three amazing kids. One of which is a special needs child who frequently needs my attention and care. This can make obtaining and holding a regular job quite difficult. Even with help from the state benefits that we receive it is hard to find a care giver that is both knowledgeable enough and has the patience to manage his behavior on a regular basis. This is why scholarships are so important to furthering my education. My main goal is to finish my associate's degree in business (I'm graduating in May 2022 from North Idaho College) and transfer to a four year university to pursue a bachelor's in business. With these degrees I plan to either enter into a management position with a local business or, more likely, start my own business by myself or with a partner. I already know that whatever I choose to do I will be successful at because I've learned how to persist through any obstacle. The key is to never give up on your dreams and to always find some way to continue working towards your goals- no matter how insignificant a step forward may seem it is still forward momentum... and you can build on that.
