Bio

I am currently attending UNC Wilmington and am working towards my Theatre major. I strive to be the person that everyone can trust and know I am there to help whether its personal or within the community. I am most passionate about my grades being the best possible and how others are treated and taken care of in the community. I graduated from West Stokes highschool this fall with a weighted GPA of 4.224 while also being involved in clubs and sports throughout my high school career and am very proud of this accomplishment. I believe I am a great candidate for scholarships because of my community involvement in volunteer activities and Varsity sports throughout high school. I am self-motivated, goal-oriented person and give one hundred percent to everything I am involved in. I have completed and am currently completing more college courses at my high school to advance myself and be ready for my first year of college next year. I am a member of the National Honor Society, Random Acts of Kindness, and the Interact club at West Stokes High School. I am also a member of the Varsity Basketball, Lacrosse, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field and Cross-Country team at West Stokes High School.

I have been active in sports since I was five years old. Being an athlete has instilled essential qualities into my personality. The extracurricular involvement has taught me to be a committed individual while making me a strong-willed individual with excellent problem-solving skills that will be useful in the future. I have had many wins and losses, that I have matured mentally and physically because of them. The ups and downs of each season have taught me that there will be many obstacles in life, but there will always be a positive outcome if I stay committed and do my best. The result may not be what I wanted, but it will be a lesson learned that will make me a stronger individual. Over the years, I have developed time management, discipline, and organizational skills on and off the field. While in middle school and high school sports, I have stayed committed to my academic classes, homework, and sports schedule. Learning to multitask and manage my activities has increased my academic success by sharpening my problem-solving skills and making me a responsible and disciplined individual. Successfully being a committed individual to all my responsibilities has resulted in many achievements in academics and athletics. With the many teams I have played with, I have always become the team mentor or leader for others. Within the classroom, I am usually the organizer who pushes others to participate and contribute to the projects assigned. I help ensure teams stay on task and work together for the same goal. I enjoy being successful individually. However, I also enjoy assisting and celebrating others on their successes. I encourage my teammates to work closely together so we can all succeed and no one is left out. I strive to demonstrate sportsmanship; by doing this, I help increase my team’s morale and build self-esteem in my teammates. No matter the situation, I support everyone on my team, and this is the only way a team will be successful. Through my support, I built trust with my team and coaches, resulting in my teammates being successful at helping each other instead of working against each other. I have demonstrated skills of teamwork and discipline on and off the field through my commitments to sports and academics. I have gained the respect of coaches and school officials through my ongoing efforts to always be supportive of my teammates and classmates.
