I'm and may always be an introvert, a pleasure, and a curse. It has kept me from pushing myself to seek and gain relationships with people, and when my senior year of high school came along, I was terrified. I was supposed to go to college and figure out what I wanted to do in life, what! However, someone very inspirational said something that made me want to put my fear aside.
In my search to find what would make me proud of myself, I came across these words: “when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” This lovely quote's creator is Wayne Dyer, and the words Wayne submitted for all to see pushed me in the direction of the thing I feared most. And it wasn’t college, it was changing.
Change has held me back, and this time I want my chapter to start with: Mikayla Moorer took the first step and reached for a better education. I want to prove to myself that change is magical. This realization caused me to write college essays, even when I was anxious for the outcome. I jumped for joy when I got my first acceptance letter.Wayne Dyer's words were right, and I wanted to know if, down the road, this quote still rang true.
Now that I had crossed the finish line of college searching, my dream job was left to be unveiled. However, I’m not sure what I want to accomplish. Will my success fall in the medical field or is it cooking and seeing my creative side taking light? Who knows. Therefore, I want to gain the aid to seek these answers. This aid doesn’t just have to come from green in my pocket, but from inspiration from others around me supporting.

New chapters appear every day, and it is the pupil's job to acknowledge or ignore a new beginning. I have ventured towards new chapters out of courageousness and peer pressure from my parents. In the hopes, I would take a leap of faith. This time is different because I yearn to pursue and add to my book of life with one of the most intimidating beginnings of all, college.

Now that I had crossed the finish line of college searching, my dream job was left to be unveiled. However, I’m not sure what I want to accomplish. Will my success fall in the medical field and saving animals while putting smiles on customers’ faces, or is it cooking and seeing my creative side taking light? Who knows. Therefore, I want to gain the aid to seek these answers. This aid doesn’t just have to come from green in my pocket, but from inspiration from other teens, adults once as lost as me, my parents, or my dearest friends. I wish to gain more knowledge and help teens and others around me, whether that means creating an app, public speaking, or creating my own business and inspiring someone else’s goals. In the end, my goal is to pursue more and inspire to take away the fear of change and big goals and dreams.
Change used to be the most intimidating thing for me, and moving from my hometown in Colorado to North Carolina didn’t help, so I hid away from the best version of myself. Today is the day to rectify that mistake. I not only want to prove that I can do great things but show my siblings and friends that it’s attainable to do what may seem impossible at the time. I yearn to look back and reminisce how far I have come and think about the ones who helped me on my path. One of those people could be the ones reading this essay now. The ones who encourage me to seek my concealed dreams and show that anything is achievable. Ultimately, I hope to successfully translate this into success for others who find themselves where I am now.
