I saw my grandmother heal after complications with a total hysterectomy by listening to Van Morrison. Weird, huh? But I saw her smile more and get stronger every day listening to songs like “When the healing has begun “ and “into the mystic”. So although I’m not a Van Fan, I love his music for giving her hope. Giving back to my community is something I’ve endeavored to do all my life through service projects and school projects to fund the needs of our town. As Mohammed Ali said, “service to others is the rent we pay for our space here on earth”. I hope to pay my rent and help others pay theirs as well. In the meantime, rock on Grandma!
