My name is Mickayla Brozowsky, I am a nursing student in Connecticut. I aspire to be a nurse anesthetist in the future. I decided to pursue nursing because there was a nurse that made a large impact on my life. She touched my heart and it made me want to do the same for others, for others to know that they are important and heard. A hardship that I have had to overcome is being sexually assaulted by my stepfather. This was one of the hardest challenges to overcome throughout my journey in high school. This journey made me grow up a lot faster than most my age. My family did not talk to me anymore and I was forced to make sure that I did everything that I could to provide myself with a reasonable future for myself. So, I decided to push myself and push myself to be the best I could and be better than my predecessors.
