My long-term goal is to become a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) specializing in Women's Health. I am passionate about supporting women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, and I hope to become both a doula and certified nurse-midwife. One day, I would love to open a birth center that provides compassionate, patient-centered care and empowers women to advocate for their health.
I believe I am a strong candidate because I am resilient, dedicated, and deeply committed to serving others. Throughout my educational and professional journey, I have remained focused on my goals despite challenges and setbacks. In addition to healthcare, I am passionate about fashion and hope to continue exploring my creativity alongside my nursing career. My goal is to make a positive impact by helping women feel supported, informed, and empowered.

To me, women's empowerment is not simply about encouraging women to dream bigger it is about ensuring they have the knowledge, confidence, and support to advocate for themselves in every area of life, especially when it comes to their health. I have learned that one of the greatest forms of empowerment is helping a woman realize that her voice deserves to be heard. That belief has shaped my education, my volunteer service, and the career I am working toward every day.
Throughout my journey in healthcare, I have intentionally sought opportunities to serve others through volunteer work and clinical research. Those experiences taught me that healing extends far beyond diagnoses and treatment plans. Every patient wants to feel respected, listened to, and understood. As I learned more about the maternal health disparities affecting Black women, I realized that many women leave healthcare settings feeling dismissed during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Rather than accepting that reality, I decided to dedicate my career to changing it. My goal is to become a Women's Health Doctor of Nursing Practice, certified nurse-midwife, and doula so I can provide compassionate, evidence-based care while empowering women to make informed decisions about their bodies, pregnancies, and futures.
My commitment to women's empowerment extends beyond my future profession. I believe leadership is measured by how many people you help rise alongside you. Whether serving my community, mentoring others through my experiences, or simply creating spaces where women feel seen and supported, I strive to remind every woman that her dreams, her concerns, and her voice matter. One day, I hope to open a birth center where women receive exceptional medical care while also finding education, advocacy, and the confidence to participate fully in their healthcare decisions. I also hope to improve access to infertility care so that financial barriers never determine whether a woman has the opportunity to build the family she dreams of.
Charlene Howard believed in the transformative power of education, and I hope to honor that same legacy by using my education to transform the lives of others. The greatest impact I can have on women's empowerment is not simply becoming an advanced practice nurse it is ensuring that every woman who leaves my care walks away feeling stronger than when she arrived. If my career allows even one woman to trust her instincts, ask one more question, advocate for herself, or believe in her own worth, then I will know I have made the kind of difference that lasts far beyond a single appointment.
