I am a first-generation Mexican in the U.S. and the first to go to college in my family. I will work hard to help those in my community in Chicago by getting my doctorate in Pharmacy and becoming a role model for children as well as my own. It is a goal of mine to have a supported and loving family that does not deal with financial debt or poverty, as well as buy off my mother's home and finally let her rest after years of hard work as a single mother. I am very passionate about the field I am pursuing as it has been a goal of mine to become a pharmacist since I was a sophomore in high school. I have dealt with multiple health issues in the past and those issues helped me find something I wanted to do as a career. It enlightened me to the world of pharmacy and I have never looked back.
