Hello potential scholarship donors! My name is Michaela Miano, and I am a current senior at Mercy High School in Middletown, Connecticut. I look forward to attending college as a Human Resources or Business Management major. I've always felt called to this profession due to how motivated I become when working with others, my leadership skills, and my strong desire to put 110% effort into everything I do. Despite wanting to pursue a career in the business realm, I also have a strong passion for reading and writing. I have consistently earned high praise from every English teacher I've had in addition to receiving various academic awards (such as the Harvard Book Award at the end of my junior year). I am a great candidate for these scholarship opportunities because I have shown persistence through struggles socially and in the classroom all while participating in countless clubs and gaining over 100 service hours during my high school career. These hours included time spent making cards for elderly people in nursing homes, organizing school events, tutoring my peers, working with animals, and more. All in all, I am a passionate, hardworking, caring, lower-middle-class individual who greatly appreciates the generosity of donors. Thank you!
