In my life my path has been defined by difference. My goal in life is to make a better future for the generations below me, and most importantly the world and people around me. I'm a passionate community driven person who has contributed time volunteer coaching for my communities flag and tackle football programs, developing an even more firm foundation for the love of sports which I've held ever since I was a young kid and could pick up a ball or swing a bat. Scholarship opportunities would help me and my family combat economic issues we're experiencing, as well as the high cost of tuition and housing for college.

WinnerWhy do you want to be a teacher ?
Teaching is one of the only professions which shows society a glimpse of the future generations ,the capabilities, and also the limitations that inevitably inhibit ingenuity. The most foundational people who have molded the man I am today have been people that I have learned things from, after all I never had half of the skills I posses now, and a lot of that attributes to the people who have taught me those things. Whether it's been a coach, teacher, family member, or friend people (with a huge emphasis) have enabled me to discover myself and determine the person that I want and don't want to be. Teachers specifically have impacted my life by questioning the things that I believe by always encouraging me to seek more research, and assurance through knowledge and logic. Growing up with a brother who has special needs has given me the patience, kindness, and abilities to succeed in some of the community work I've done such as coaching tackle and flag football. Through the volunteer experiences I've been able to connect with individuals at a deeper level who walk all stages of life; which is an opportunity I continuously want to pursue. I want to be able to pass the knowledge I've gained to the future generations behind me, because I feel it is our duty to enable more free thinkers for the future in order to engage cognitive mobility's instead of mechanical ones.
Who has influenced you in education or athletics?
My junior and senior year English teacher has, by far, influenced me the most due to his ability to inspire and create vigor within our academic and life potentials. The way he can influence thought provoking prompts and instill impacting installation of societal norms, conformity's, and differences in a non-hostile and academic way, presents questions that are long lasting. His class has been one of the greatest academic gifts I've received due to not only the academic contributions, but also because of the social connection I've been able to build with him. Over the last two years I've been able to have the opportunity to connect with him on a personal level, developing connections and even more thought provoking memories which have played a major factor into the person that I've become today.
What have you learned about yourself while participating in sports?
Unfortunately during my sophomore year of football I suffered a meniscus tear that ultimately inhibited me from continuing playing two (also Wrestling) of the sports which I loved. After rehabilitating I decided to only play traveled baseball due to the preservation of my physical health, as at that time I had aspirations to attend a college with an ROTC program. I truly thought this was the end of my Athletic career, however I was dead wrong. That same year I received an offer to assist a flag football team in my community, due to the commitment of film watching and analyzing that I did when I was Injured playing Junior Varsity football. This opportunity granted me chances to impact young athletes lives individually, as I constantly worked one on one with multiple of my players both on and off of the field. The first year of coaching went great, as we went on to go 9-0 and have an undefeated season. This year after coaching two seasons of flag I helped coach the league president's sons tackle football team, and we were able to win the championship. The biggest thing I've learned playing sports, is to look for all opportunities.
