I could not add to my profile that I am a university graduate because this website, Bold, does not have a list of Nigerian universities; but I studied English Literature at Lagos State University.
I am a Nigeria-born Nigerian masters student at New York University, studying journalism, set to graduate in 2026. I am also a graduate assistant with the Ethics and Journalism Initiative at NYU.
As a journalist I am most passionate about covering health and healthcare, writing engaging, nuanced and long-form stories that provide insights into the medical world, specifically pertaining to West Africa. I am particularly interested in reporting on the relationship between marginalized groups and healthcare - how the former are impacted by health policies, how they are limited in their access to affordable healthcare, how they are sometimes even discriminated against and denied healthcare, etc.
