Bio

Hi, my name is Mia Garcia. I am a high school student from Piedmont, Oklahoma, and honestly, I’m not really sure what I want to study in college. I tend to switch between many things. I know that I at least want to earn a degree to help me secure a good job. However, one career that has caught my interest is becoming a 911 dispatcher. I want to help people in need during difficult times, whether it's answering a call from someone who just needs someone to talk to or help in life-saving situations. I have always had a passion for helping others and putting their needs first, and I believe becoming a dispatcher would allow me to support many people. I can't wait for the next chapter in my life after high school to see what God has in store for me.

I had been bullied for 3 years and struggled to keep in my thoughts. I tried so hard just to ignore all of those outside voices, and try and be happy. I thought it was going to be easy to ignore, and shut out everyone that brings me down. Then it got to me, I thought I was not good enough for anyone including God, and my family. I wanted just to get rid of it, and leave this world forever. I then got closer to God through suicidal thoughts. My parents were very supportive, and there. I got strengthened through the Lord, and thank Him every day. I thank the people that God put into my life and pray every day for those who are struggling, and I pray that the Lord will bring them strength and joy. It will get easier, but you have to surround yourself with the people that love you, not the people that bring you down all the time. I learned that, and getting away from the people who brought me down, really helped me and allowed me to know that there are actual people who love me. There are going to be hard times in your life, but you have to find a way out and stay with the groups that love you for who YOU are.
