Bio

Hello, my name is Meske, I am university student undergraduate with a strong passion in (nuero)/ clinical psychology. My favorite interests include art, volunteering, socializing with friends, and sports. As a patriotic Ethiopian from a low-income nation, I am motivated to pursue a profession in psychology because I want to make a positive difference in the world. One impact can make a significant difference in a person's life. I am also passionate about supporting those in need, as seen by relevant experiences and volunteer work (hours spent on local clean-up, garbage collection, and beautification of community places). I've made a strong commitment to assisting the homeless by volunteering at neighborhood kitchens, food banks, and shelters, offering meals to people in need. Through these experiences it has helped me grow and learn, from my experiences I want to show people that anything is possible with hard work and a good mindset. Being born in a international country I have first hand seen the ins and outs of scarcity, but through that my people have still found joy through these hardships, I truly believe anyone is capable of that if you strive for your passions and dedicate your heart for change. Because of this I am very excited to pursue a career in psychology. Where I aim to make an even greater impact on our mental wellness.

Fall Favs: A Starbucks Stan Scholarship
As the colorful autumn leaves rustle around the corner, my heart longs for the warm, comforting embrace of Starbucks’ Pumpkin Chai Latte (PCL). This comforting drink has not only been a loyal companion during countless fall mornings spent studying with my best friend, fueling our academic pursuits in running start and nurturing an unbreakable bond. But the PCL serves as a catalyst, fueling our minds with all that we need to know. where the textbooks transformed into treasures of knowledge, and the challenges that we faced during life became opportunities for growth. As we delved deeper into our studies, the PCL’s sweetness and spice were a perfect combination. With every sip that we savored, we also savored each moment of growth and understanding. Through this drink, our friendship deepened, and our academic pursuits became a shared passion. The PCL was more than just a drink; it was the momentum for our success. But the PCL holds an even deeper significance for me. Every fall, I shared a PCL with my grandma, creating cherished memories that I will hold dear forever. We would sit together, watching the leaves fall from the autumn trees, as she shared stories from her childhood and her own academic journey. Her wisdom and love instilled in me a passion for learning, and the PCL became a symbol of our bond. Though she is no longer with me, the PCL remains a poignant reminder of our time together and the values she instilled in me: compassion, resilience, and determination. When fall comes around the corner each year, the PCL continues to inspire me, reminding me of the warmth, wisdom, and love that I will carry with me forever. In the midst of challenges, the PCL is a comforting reminder of the power of friendship, family, and hope. The PCL represents the memories I've made, the lessons I have learned, and the love that has supported me every step of the way. As I strive to make a positive impact on the world, the Pumpkin Chai Latte remains a beloved companion, fueling my passions and inspiring me to go above and beyond. With every sip, I'm reminded of the incredible bonds I have formed and the incredible journey that lies ahead. The PCL is more than just a drink; it's a symbol that forms unbreakable bonds, memories, love, and dreams for the future. As I take a sip today, I am filled with gratitude for the love and memories that the PCL represents to me.
