Beacon of Light Scholarship
From a young age, I have been inspired by my family members who have dedicated their lives to the healthcare field. Witnessing their compassion, dedication, and ability to make a difference in the lives of others ignited my own passion for healthcare. Additionally, reading the story of a woman who thrived in the healthcare field deeply resonated with me. Her journey reinforced my belief that healthcare is not just about treating patients but also about advocacy, leadership, and creating equitable access to quality care. These influences have shaped my decision to pursue a career in healthcare, and I am determined to contribute to the field in a meaningful way.
My personal experiences have further solidified my passion. In high school, I volunteered in the nurse’s office, where I gained firsthand experience in assisting with patient care, learning the importance of compassion, and understanding the vital role healthcare professionals play in a community. This early exposure to the field encouraged me to take my passion further by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Working as a CNA has been both challenging and rewarding, allowing me to provide direct patient care and truly understand the needs of individuals who rely on the healthcare system. These experiences have reinforced my desire to not only make a difference in the lives of others but also to advocate for women of color in healthcare, ensuring that representation and equity are prioritized in the industry.
My long-term career goal is to work in healthcare management, where I can contribute to the improvement of healthcare systems and policies. I want to focus on enhancing patient care, addressing disparities in healthcare, and creating policies that promote inclusivity and accessibility for all communities. Eventually, I plan to further my education by earning a master’s degree in Health Administration, which will equip me with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead and make lasting changes within the healthcare industry.
This scholarship will play a crucial role in helping me achieve my goals. Financial barriers should not be an obstacle to making a difference, and this scholarship will allow me to continue my education, gain the necessary skills, and work towards a future where I can impact healthcare at a larger scale. With the support of this scholarship, I will be one step closer to becoming a leader in healthcare, advocating for underrepresented communities, and ensuring that quality care is accessible to all.
Book Lovers Scholarship
If I had to choose one book for everyone in the world to read, I don't have the ability to choose because to me everyone finds that one book that makes them happy that makes them want to continue reading to experience something new. So for me there's not one book I could choose from that I would want the world's to read because that one part that got me interested in reading what's twilight and the reason that I ended up reading this series of books was because I went with my mom to see the movie versions and while in 6th grade I decided I want to read these books because the book is always so different than the movie. Twilight was that one book that made me want to continue reading made me want to explore what books had to have. For me everyone has that book that changes their life on reading and makes them want to read more I had asked my mom this question what would be the one by that you don't want the world sweet and she told me it would be “The Giver” she said that book had changed her perspective on life and how everyone saw things in black and white until it changed and the giver started seeing that world in color. The dystopia genre of books shows us the world in different ways such as if we are in districts as “The Hunger Games” books or how with “Divergent” there were emphasis or different types of fractions. Dystopia this stop your books taught us that even if we are separated to different types of groups by the status of our money or what we have at one point there is some type of uprising in which we choose not to be confined in society's standards of what we're supposed to be and how things are supposed to look. For me there's not one book I don't want the world to read I believe that there are many books that the world can read, and each book would have a different effect on every individual whether it opens their eyes to a new world within storytelling and how these books sometimes influence our lives and make us seem different to those around us.
Once Upon a #BookTok Scholarship
For my ideal bookshelf inspired by Booktok it would have to include mafia romances because just the snippets that buttock will give you off of these mafia romance books, they're so good and it's like it makes you want to keep on reading you get upset that there's not more to the story. Actually, on my bookshelf right now I have one of the book talks recommendations which is called night dark Romeo, and the book is so good and it's so interesting and the fact that I like about book talk is they give you book recommendations that you never would have thought yourself to be reading before. Another book I would have on my ideal bookshelf W winter stories because her books are so good and there's so like spicy too where it makes you want to keep reading the books and she has like a why selection of different types of romance books. I would have to have romance books on my bookshelf fantasy books on my bookshelves spiritual books would also be included on my bookshelf because I understand that there has to be some self-help and those type of spiritual self-help have books helped me in some way or another. Some other books that I would put on my bookshelf would be luxe by Daisy Allen, a discovery of witches, vampire Academy, king of battle blood, devoted, Bridgeton, and why men love B’s these are some of the other types of books that I would put on my bookshelf for example. As a young kid I loved reading books some of the books that I actually read as a kid were twilight, vampire Academy, Beautiful creatures, and any type of book I could get my hands on such as the fault in our stars which is one book that had made me cry. Another book that I would also put on my bookshelf would be the Court of Rose and thorn series because these books are so interesting, and I like the idea of fantasy in the books I choose to read. All these different books allowed me to escape in to a world where I find my happiness and peace and it makes me happy to read that because sometimes when everyday life is too much just to sit down to simply read a book can be the most relaxing enjoy staying for me to do because it's allowing myself to have a moment of quiet. Reading books have help me become the person i am today because they allowed me to discover a different type of life in which i fall in love with someone who can appreciate me as a person an who values me. My ideal books shelf would include a variety of books that acknowledge who i am as a person and the types of stories that i choose to read from.
Aktipis Entrepreneurship Fellowship
I possess similar qualities as Stelios because I see myself as a person who thinks from a business point of view sometimes and I have different type of ideas that I want to go far further in and which it allows me to become my own boss to become an entrepreneur. I see those similar qualities in myself because I am a person who wants to invest in their future who wants to have different types of investments that way and towards that end, I know the type of life I lived I know the type of fruits of my labor where right everything I wanted in life to become successful. A part of being successful is hard work is having the willingness to learn and understand new things that some people can't comprehend and wanting to move forward not wanting to stay back. Three knowledge is the greatest power for someone to have because without knowledge there wouldn't have been innovations there wouldn't have been medical achievements. For me having the ability to learn and also gain information from a variety of things that surround me. Tell me I feel as if I don't have academics simulation, I found myself bored easily so learning new things trying new things gaining knowledge from different perspectives and different point of views it's something that I love to do especially with reading stories and how each writer chooses to write their stories. I have this curiosity where I want to gain information from different cultures I want to be have the ability to experience different cultures whether it's traveling and being a mercy and a cultural experience that in a way allows me to understand others beliefs and how they grow up and how these beliefs had formed who they are as a person now because of the culture they're raising because of the ideas that they were raised in. I have a curiosity where I want to have the ability to expand on it to do things that I've never thought of before and there's different types of ways to find accomplishments within these curiosities because in life we as humans have to take chances on ourselves to be able to grow to be able to achieve to be able to become business people to be able to decided what our fate is. Tell me scholarly engagement is that people learn from a different type a form in ways as I am a person who as one who learns from visually seeing something done or even reading about it. To me if someone is engaged and has an interest and loves what they're doing, what they're learning they can't go far in life because they are engaged and love what they're doing, and they find satisfaction in it. For me the classes that I'm taking in healthcare management they're interesting to me it gives me a business point of view of the house care organization, and I love having the ability to learn more about it and to hopefully one day go further with my education.
