Hi! My name is Melissa, and I'm a girl with lots of ambition looking to try to leave a footprint and impact on the earth by positively contributing to people’s lives. I am a low-income, first-generation Latina striving to make the change and pave a path for future generations to prosper. I am passionate about humanity and hope to be able to help as many people as I can in more ways than one, and a career in medicine will most definitely help fulfill that desire. Everybody needs somebody, and I hope to not only heal people’s physical ailments in the future but also make it be known that they never truly walk alone. I will be attending UCLA in the fall, #GoBruins!!!
