Hi, I'm Melissa Hernandez, a current high school student at Colegio Marista of Guaynabo in Puerto Rico. My passion for becoming a doctor is my driving force, serving as my life's purpose and continual motivation. This determination fuels my readiness to seize any opportunity to make a difference. I aspire to major in Chemistry, as it is the science branch I find most captivating, and pursue a medical career. Although I'm still uncertain, I hope to undertake an MD-PhD program. In addition to my dedication to science, I'm deeply immersed in the world of dance. My journey began at a young age, and at the age of 8, I took a profound leap into dance. Starting with Urban dance, I later ventured into ballet, modern dance, and contemporary styles. My ultimate aspiration is to join a professional dance company in the future. I hope both of my dreams will become a reality, and I am committed to working tirelessly to overcome any financial obstacles. I firmly believe I am a prime candidate for scholarships, given my outstanding academic achievements, consistently maintained GPA, passion for my community, and unwavering motivation.
