Thank you for considering me for your scholarship. I made the most difficult decision of my life to leave my restaurant and everyone I have known and loved for last 10 years of my life to pursue what I love and my passion in higher education by becoming a bachelor's-degree registered nurse. I have lived in poverty, and am the first in my family to graduate from college I am now studying for my dream out of state. I have an autistic son whom I cherish, and I pray I will one day find the treatment and cure for his condition. I am motivated to contribute to others' health, and I will not stop learning and growing until I can not physically continue with this goal. At this time, I do not have the blessing of income as I am in full-time accelerated nursing school and in debt; however, my faith, grit, and determination will overcome all obstacles. Thank you again for reviewing my application, and I pray for your good health for many years to come!

Perseverance represents someone who rises to challenges, who won't back down, and who won't quit. If I fail, I try again mentality. Those in stem field are tough, yet that toughness is something I admire in them and the profession, and I believe I would do well in a job where I am challenged. Helping others offers a kind of adventure that I would enjoy. I look forward to a lifetime of not just helping people but exploring the world around me. I suffer from both hearing loss and loud bilateral tinnitus as well as pulsatile tinnitus in my left ear from the age of 5 years old, after having a very bad flu and sneezing with both of my eustachian tubes inflamed. It was believed by my doctors that this had caused permanent hearing damage by dislodging and damaging my middle ear bones which developed permanent eustachian tube dysfunction. They prescribed me many rounds of antibiotics which later caused my microbiome to become compromised and lead to IBS. All of these issues lead to developing anxiety and insomnia since the ringing and the pain from digestion keeps me up at night. I was able to overcome these issues while attending high school and being a college student with this hearing impairment through my new way of being, being outstanding. Throughout my volunteer work giving back as a cook in soup kitchens and panda cares to low-income children, volunteering as a fireman reserve EMT, and taking care of my son who is autistic; I can see that there are people less fortunate than I am and how truly blessed I am to still be alive. It is my purpose in life to contribute to others even though I do not have much at this time to give back, I give whatever I have to give to my community. I have personally grown far wiser in my studies knowing how to support my Autistic son in ways I would not have known how to do. Through the treatments I have learned from nursing, his cognitive abilities have grown, and he can have greater one-on-one connections all due to the research I have done on our family MTFR gene mutation. I believe I demonstrate the quality of someone who has perseverance. This scholarship is much needed and by graduating from nursing I will be able to make a return on your investment through my contributions towards Autism research and development and contribute back to hearing research, and my community as a BSN and later as an MD in the Stem field. I have so much more to learn and grow in this profession, and nursing is the perfect place for me to begin this journey. This scholarship is much needed and I pray that I may be blessed with this opportunity. I wish you and your family great health and prosperity!
Do Good Scholarship
1. I wish to experience the medical field to the fullest, and nursing seems to be the perfect place to begin. Having a connection with people has always been important to me. It is an honor to be allowed to help people at their most vulnerable when they are in need. I also enjoy working with other people and having a sense of belonging to a work family. My experience with nurses is that they work together to share their workload in a way that I find encouraging. In my ideal job, I would like to be someone who can be trusted by colleagues and who has a good support network. I'm someone who rises to challenges, who won't back down, and who won't quit. If I fail, I try again. Nurses are tough, yet that toughness is something I admire in them and the profession, and I believe I would do well in a job where I am challenged. 2) My greatest opportunity was "Get it done! (Take action)". Through learning the 8 attributes of Excellence and Mamba mentality, I have personally grown far wiser and far stronger in my mindset and my studies; knowing how to support my Autistic son in ways I would not have known how to do. That was establishing my goal and purpose in life. The steps and prioritization lead me through the treatments I have learned from nursing, his cognitive abilities have grown, and he can have greater one-on-one connections all due to the research I have done on our family MTFR gene mutation. One of the most critical steps toward developing a positive mindset is educating yourself about other people and their experiences amid injustices. As a society, we are prevented from advancing when we do not understand both past and present issues. It is impossible to make significant progress during our lifetimes. The STEM field and online gaming forums encourage children to be critical thinkers, persistent, and systematic in their experiments, all of which are essential to their learning process. Sean Carroll's Mindscape Big Picture Scholarship
As humans have grown more powerful and pervasive on Earth, the survival and health of the Earth community now depend on our decisions and actions. Understanding the Big Bang theory, the Copernican principle, and Hubble's law certainly brings us closer to identifying how we came into existence. It represents the creation of the universe from a singular state, not the explosion of matter into a pre-existing spacetime. There is no doubt that equations are much smarter than we are, they enable us to comprehend phenomena in the world around us, illuminate the world around us, and lead us to even better equations, which will enable us to unravel other mysteries of the universe. There is also a degree of uniformity in the universe. In modern physical cosmology, the cosmological principle is the notion that when viewed on a large enough scale, the matter is distributed homogeneously and isotropically throughout the universe. It is, therefore, expected that the large-scale structuring of the matter field initially established by the Big Bang will not exhibit any observable irregularities in its evolution as time goes on. Furthermore, Wavefunctions are mathematical interpretations of reality in my opinion. As a result of its collapsing, the Wavefunctions of the system being measured become superimposed on each other. Furthermore, the measuring device itself is a Wavefunction and contributes to the final result. There is no way to repeat exactly the Wavefunction created by the measuring device, so the observation is not predictable. Understanding reality is the goal of physics. Every person inside the wavefunction still experiences random events therefore, You can't predict what will happen to you even if you can predict what will happen to the entire universe. We can not predict that I can find a cure for my son's autism however, eliminating the possibilities of failing are here; a motive of finding a way to cure my son's autism by researching such equations and homeostasis leads me down the path of holding us from structures that threaten us all, having grit, and knowing what are the causes and pathophiosology of the disease. Embracing this new way of living means contributing to the advancement of our society by understanding the connections between our bacteria, how we can treat Autism and other illnesses by using it, and learning from this environment, how we evolve and learn, and how we can expand our thinking way beyond what we think is possible. Thank you for your time in reviewing my scholarship application. I am a big fan of Sean Carroll and have watched all of his videos and podcasts. I love to study quantum mechanics and string theory. With this scholarship, I can further my concepts and ideas.
