Hi, my name is Mecca Fisher, I'm a freshman majoring in biomedical engineering at the University of Oklahoma. I love researching and discovering new things to apply towards what I love. Along with this, I also love to bike and volunteer in my spare time. I have an undying love and passion for engineering. Starting from middle school all the way to the end of high school, I would always take some form of an engineering class. I’ve taken all types of engineering courses from aerospace engineering and mechanical engineering to biomedical and computer science. While I’m currently biomedical engineering, I’ve been in contact with different professors and industry professionals about their different fields, from chemical engineers to industrial engineers. In biomedical engineering, I hope to utilize fields in neuroengineering, immunoengineering, and genetic engineering to start my own research company revolving around human advancement and gene therapy.
