Bio

Hello! My name is Madelyn, and I’m an environmental professional passionate about connecting science, policy, and storytelling to create lasting climate solutions. I’ve earned both my B.S. in Environmental Science and my M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from Pace University, and I’m eager to continue my academic journey with the ultimate goal of earning a PhD. In the future, I hope to pursue advanced study in GIS or fisheries management, as I see these fields as powerful ways to bridge technology, conservation, and public service. My career dream is to work for the federal or state government, blending science, technology, and policy to better serve communities and protect our natural resources. Along the way, I’ve gained hands-on experience as a Fish & Feathers intern at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, where I supported inclusive interpretation programs and now continue as a volunteer River Ambassador, encouraging safe recreation and stewardship on the Delaware River. I also serve on Pennsylvania’s DCNR NextGen Advisory Council, where I help advocate for youth leadership, accessibility in outdoor programming, and a diverse conservation workforce. I believe education is one of the greatest tools for change, and I strive to use mine to inspire others, shape environmental narratives, and create meaningful impact. I hold myself to high standards of responsibility, integrity, and gratitude, and I know any investment in my journey will be met with my continued dedication, growth, and service to both my community and the wider world.
