Books are a fantastic way to end your day. To me, books are an escape for what's currently going on in the world. This is why my favorite book is actually a series, Ms. Peregrine's home for peculiar children. While I'm aware this is a children's book series, I still enjoy it because it immerses the reader in a fantasy world full of magic and surprises. My personal favorite book of the series is the first book. It expertly introduces the characters and their unique quirks. My favorite character is Emma Bloom. She is depicted as a 16 year old girl stuck in a time circle with many other peculiar students. She soon meets a boy named Jacob Portman who is the only one who can see the monsters in this world, just like his grandfather. All in all, this book is full of twists and turns in a world where magical people used to live among the regulars but have to stay in hiding due to monsters made by other peculiars to get rid of the others.
