Due to financial situations, my parents were never able to earn college degrees of their own. As a first-generation college student, I feel the need to fulfill the dreams that they were unable to achieve. I plan to attend law school and use my Juris Doctorate degree to become a Guardian ad Litem or perhaps run for lower public office myself. My experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant has also given me an inside look into the world of healthcare and a new sense of love and compassion for those who rely on me. My ten plus years of volunteer service at a non-profit summer camp for individuals with special needs, and being a big sister to a brother with cerebral palsy has sparked a passion for working with individuals affected by cognitive disabilities, largely influencing my decision to become a child advocate.
