I've navigated through my own journey with mental health challenges, particularly regarding depression and thoughts of suicide. These experiences have profoundly shaped my understanding of mental illness and the importance of seeking support and implementing coping strategies to maintain well-being.
Depression can be an overwhelming and isolating experience, characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and disconnection. At times, these feelings can become so intense that thoughts of suicide may arise as a perceived solution to end the pain and suffering. I've grappled with these thoughts myself, feeling trapped in a cycle of despair and unable to envision a way out.
However, through therapy, medication, and the support of loved ones, I've learned to navigate through these dark periods and develop coping strategies to manage my mental health. One of the most valuable coping mechanisms for me has been seeking professional help through therapy. Therapy provides a safe space to explore my emotions, gain insight into my thought patterns, and learn effective coping skills to navigate life's challenges.
Additionally, medication has played a crucial role in stabilizing my mood and alleviating symptoms of depression. While medication is not a cure-all solution, it can be a helpful tool in managing symptoms and improving overall well-being.
Beyond professional support, I've found solace in practicing self-care activities such as mindfulness meditation, journaling, and engaging in creative outlets like art and music. These activities help me ground myself in the present moment, cultivate self-awareness, and channel my emotions in constructive ways.
Moreover, building a strong support network of friends and family who understand and validate my experiences has been essential in my healing journey. Opening up about my struggles with depression and thoughts of suicide has allowed me to break free from the stigma and shame surrounding mental illness and receive the support and empathy I need.
Looking ahead, my future goals center around advocating for mental health awareness, destigmatizing conversations around suicide and depression, and promoting access to mental health resources and support services. I aspire to become a mental health advocate and ally, using my own experiences to offer hope and support to others who may be struggling.
Through education, outreach, and storytelling, I aim to raise awareness about the prevalence of mental illness and the importance of seeking help without shame or judgment. By fostering open and compassionate dialogue, I hope to create a more supportive and understanding society where individuals feel empowered to prioritize their mental health and seek the help they deserve.

my passion for pursuing a degree in nursing stems from a profound desire to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while breaking down barriers for women in traditionally male-dominated industries. Nursing, to me, represents a unique blend of science, compassion, and service, making it an incredibly rewarding and impactful career choice.
My passion for nursing was ignited by personal experiences that revealed the profound impact nurses have on individuals and their families during times of illness and vulnerability. Witnessing the compassionate care provided by nurses to my loved ones left an indelible mark on me, inspiring a deep-seated desire to follow in their footsteps and contribute to the well-being of others in a similar capacity.
Nursing offers a dynamic and challenging career path that aligns perfectly with my values of empathy, resilience, and continuous learning. The multifaceted nature of nursing requires a combination of technical expertise, critical thinking skills, and emotional intelligence to provide holistic care to patients. This dynamic environment excites me, as it presents an opportunity for personal and professional growth while allowing me to make a tangible difference in the lives of those I serve.
Moreover, pursuing a degree in nursing allows me to challenge gender stereotypes and advocate for greater gender diversity in the healthcare workforce. While nursing is traditionally viewed as a female-dominated profession, women continue to face barriers and biases in male-dominated technical fields. By pursuing a career in nursing and excelling in a traditionally male-dominated environment, I hope to inspire other young women to explore trade careers and break free from societal expectations.
I am committed to using my passion for nursing to inspire and empower other young women to pursue careers in the trades or technical fields. Through mentorship, outreach, and advocacy efforts, I aim to dismantle stereotypes and create more inclusive pathways for women in traditionally male-dominated industries. By sharing my journey and experiences, I hope to demonstrate that women belong in every sector of the workforce, including trades and technical careers.
Additionally, I will actively engage with schools, community organizations, and industry partners to raise awareness about the diverse career opportunities available in nursing and provide support and resources to young women interested in pursuing this path. By showcasing the fulfilling and impactful nature of nursing, I aim to encourage more young women to consider nursing as a viable and rewarding career option.
Furthermore, I am committed to advocating for policies and initiatives that promote gender diversity and equity in the nursing workforce. This includes supporting mentorship programs, scholarship opportunities, and leadership development initiatives specifically designed to empower women in nursing and address systemic barriers to entry and advancement.
In conclusion, my passion for pursuing a degree in nursing is driven by a desire to make a positive difference in people's lives while challenging gender stereotypes and advocating for greater gender diversity in traditionally male-dominated industries. I am dedicated to using my passion for nursing to inspire and empower other young women to explore trade careers and pursue their dreams with confidence and determination. Together, we can work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable future where all individuals have the opportunity to thrive and succeed, regardless of gender or background.

Daelyn Bledsoe Legacy of Love and Leadership Scholarship
I am resolute in my dedication to fostering positive change for our nation and securing a brighter tomorrow for generations to come. To achieve this ambitious goal, I firmly believe in the power of innovative ideas to address pressing challenges and pave the way for a more prosperous future. Here, I lay out comprehensive strategies for driving transformative change across key areas:
Sustainable Energy Solutions:
The urgency of climate change demands bold action, and transitioning to sustainable energy sources is paramount. Investing in renewable energy technologies like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also creates job opportunities and strengthens energy security. However, the transition to renewables requires substantial infrastructure investments, including grid modernization and energy storage solutions. Additionally, policies such as carbon pricing and renewable energy mandates can accelerate the adoption of clean energy while ensuring a just transition for workers in fossil fuel industries.
Universal Basic Income (UBI):
Income inequality is a persistent challenge that undermines social cohesion and economic stability. Universal basic income (UBI) offers a promising solution by providing every citizen with a guaranteed income, regardless of employment status. UBI not only alleviates poverty and reduces income disparities but also empowers individuals to pursue education, entrepreneurship, and creative endeavors without fear of financial insecurity. However, implementing UBI requires careful consideration of funding mechanisms, potential effects on labor markets, and program design to ensure effectiveness and sustainability.
Universal Healthcare:
Access to healthcare is a fundamental human right, yet millions of Americans lack adequate coverage. A universal healthcare system, financed through progressive taxation and public funding, can ensure that all individuals receive essential medical services without financial barriers. By prioritizing preventative care, investing in primary care infrastructure, and negotiating drug prices, universal healthcare can improve health outcomes, reduce disparities, and lower overall healthcare costs. However, transitioning to a single-payer system requires political will and collaboration to overcome vested interests and ideological opposition.
Education Reform:
Education is the cornerstone of opportunity, yet disparities in access and quality persist. Comprehensive education reform is needed to address systemic inequities and prepare students for success in the 21st-century economy. This includes increasing funding for high-poverty schools, expanding access to early childhood education, and promoting innovative teaching methods that cater to diverse learning styles. Additionally, efforts to reduce college tuition costs and student debt burden can ensure that higher education remains accessible to all qualified individuals, regardless of socioeconomic background.
Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems:
The global food system faces immense challenges, from environmental degradation to food insecurity. Transitioning to sustainable agriculture practices, such as regenerative farming and agroecology, can enhance soil health, conserve water resources, and promote biodiversity. Supporting local food systems and reducing food waste are also critical steps in building resilient and equitable food systems. Moreover, nutrition education programs and policies that prioritize access to healthy foods can address diet-related health issues and promote public health.
Affordable Housing Solutions:
The lack of affordable housing is a pressing issue that affects millions of Americans, leading to homelessness and housing instability. Innovative housing solutions, such as community land trusts and cooperative housing models, offer alternatives to traditional homeownership and rental markets. Additionally, investing in affordable housing construction and preservation can expand housing options for low-income individuals and families. However, addressing the root causes of housing affordability requires addressing systemic issues such as income inequality, zoning regulations, and discriminatory housing practices.
Technology for Social Good:
Technology has the potential to drive positive change across various sectors, from healthcare to education to environmental conservation. Artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital platforms can improve service delivery, enhance communication, and empower communities to address complex challenges. However, ensuring that technology benefits all individuals requires addressing digital literacy gaps, protecting privacy rights, and mitigating potential negative impacts such as job displacement and algorithmic bias. Moreover, fostering collaboration between technologists, policymakers, and civil society can maximize the positive impact of technology for social good.
Social Justice and Equity Initiatives:
Achieving social justice and equity requires dismantling systemic barriers and addressing historical injustices that perpetuate inequality. This includes reforming criminal justice policies, advancing racial and gender equity, and promoting inclusive economic development strategies. Additionally, centering the voices and experiences of marginalized communities in decision-making processes is essential for creating policies and programs that reflect diverse needs and priorities. Ultimately, creating a more just and equitable society requires collective action and a commitment to upholding human rights and dignity for all individuals.
Environmental Conservation and Restoration:
Preserving and restoring our natural environment is crucial for ensuring the health and well-being of current and future generations. Investing in conservation efforts, such as protecting biodiversity hotspots and establishing marine protected areas, can safeguard ecosystems and wildlife habitats. Additionally, restoring degraded landscapes through reforestation, wetland restoration, and sustainable land management practices can enhance ecosystem resilience and mitigate the impacts of climate change. By prioritizing environmental conservation and restoration, we can secure essential ecosystem services, such as clean air and water, and preserve the planet for future generations.
Community Empowerment and Civic Engagement:
Strengthening community resilience and promoting civic engagement are essential for building inclusive and participatory societies. Empowering communities to identify and address local priorities through grassroots initiatives, participatory budgeting, and community-driven development projects can foster social cohesion and democratic governance. Moreover, investing in civic education programs and supporting civil society organizations can cultivate a culture of active citizenship and promote democratic values and principles. By fostering community empowerment and civic engagement, we can build stronger, more resilient communities that are equipped to tackle complex challenges and drive positive change.
Global Solidarity and Humanitarian Assistance:
Addressing global challenges, such as poverty, conflict, and disease, requires collective action and international cooperation. Investing in global solidarity initiatives, such as foreign aid, humanitarian assistance, and development cooperation, can support vulnerable populations and promote peace and stability worldwide. Additionally, advocating for equitable access to essential resources, such as food, water, and healthcare, can address global disparities and promote human dignity and rights. By demonstrating solidarity with the global community and providing humanitarian assistance to those in need, we can build a more just and compassionate world for all individuals, regardless of nationality or circumstance.
In conclusion, as a future nursing student, I am steadfast in my commitment to driving transformative change for our nation and future generations. By embracing innovative solutions in areas such as sustainable energy, universal basic income, healthcare, education, agriculture, housing, technology, environmental conservation, community empowerment, civic engagement, global solidarity, and humanitarian assistance, we can create a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous society. However, achieving these ambitious goals requires political will, public engagement, and collaboration across sectors and communities. Together, we can build a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to the common good.

I've encountered numerous challenges throughout my life that have required resilience to overcome. One such instance stands out as a defining moment where my resilience not only helped me navigate difficult circumstances but also inspired others around me.
Several years ago, my dad got laid off. As the eldest child, I felt a deep sense of responsibility to support my family during this trying time. Despite the financial strain and uncertainty, I remained determined to pursue my education and fulfill my dreams of becoming a nurse.
One of the ways I demonstrated resilience during this period was by maintaining a positive outlook and refusing to succumb to despair. Instead of dwelling on the challenges we faced, I focused on finding solutions and taking proactive steps to improve our situation. I applied for scholarships, sought part-time employment opportunities, and explored financial aid options to help alleviate the financial burden on my family.
Additionally, I leaned on my support network of friends, family, and mentors for guidance and encouragement. Their unwavering belief in my abilities and their words of encouragement served as a source of strength during moments of doubt and uncertainty. Knowing that I had a strong support system behind me gave me the confidence to persevere in the face of adversity.
Despite the obstacles I encountered, I remained committed to my education and career goals. I maintained a rigorous academic schedule, excelling in my coursework and actively participating in extracurricular activities related to my field of interest. Rather than allowing setbacks to derail my ambitions, I used them as fuel to propel me forward and achieve success.
One particular instance where my resilience inspired someone else occurred during a difficult period when a close friend was also facing personal challenges. Seeing how I remained steadfast in pursuing my goals despite the obstacles I faced inspired my friend to adopt a similar mindset. They shared with me how my determination and resilience served as a beacon of hope during their darkest moments, motivating them to persevere and overcome their challenges.
Moreover, my ability to maintain a positive attitude and navigate adversity with grace and determination had a ripple effect on those around me. Family members, friends, and classmates looked to me as a source of inspiration and encouragement, drawing strength from my example as they confronted their obstacles and setbacks.
In hindsight, I realize that my resilience not only helped me overcome challenges but also had a profound impact on those around me. By demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity, I was able to inspire others to persevere in the face of their challenges and obstacles. My experiences have taught me that resilience is not just about overcoming adversity—it's about inspiring others to do the same, and in doing so, creating a ripple effect of positivity and empowerment that can transform lives.

As an African American woman, I am deeply inspired by the remarkable life and legacy of Rosa Parks. Born on February 4, 1913, in Tuskegee, Alabama, Rosa Parks emerged as a pivotal figure in the civil rights movement, challenging racial segregation and paving the way for social justice and equality for generations to come. Her unwavering courage, dignity, and resilience in the face of injustice continue to serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for me and countless others.
Growing up, I learned about Rosa Parks' pivotal role in the Montgomery Bus Boycott through history books, documentaries, and classroom discussions. However, it was not until I delved deeper into her story that I truly began to appreciate the magnitude of her contributions and the profound impact she had on the course of history.
Rosa Parks's refusal to surrender her seat to a white passenger on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama, on December 1, 1955, was not simply a spontaneous act of defiance—it was a deliberate and courageous stand against the systemic oppression and dehumanization faced by African Americans in the Jim Crow South. In that singular act of resistance, Rosa Parks ignited a spark that would ignite a mass movement for civil rights and social change.
What resonates with me most about Rosa Parks is her quiet strength and unwavering commitment to justice, even in the face of adversity. Despite facing arrest, intimidation, and threats to her safety, she remained steadfast in her belief in the inherent dignity and worth of all people, regardless of race or color. Her refusal to accept the status quo challenged societal norms and galvanized a community to unite in the struggle for equality.
Moreover, Rosa Parks' activism extended far beyond the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Throughout her life, she continued to advocate for civil rights, working tirelessly to combat racial segregation, discrimination, and inequality in all its forms. From organizing voter registration drives to supporting the Freedom Riders, Rosa Parks was a tireless champion of justice, using her voice and platform to uplift and empower marginalized communities.
As an African American woman, Rosa Parks' legacy serves as a source of empowerment and inspiration in my journey. Her courage and resilience remind me of the importance of standing up for what is right, even in the face of adversity. Her determination to effect change through peaceful resistance exemplifies the power of collective action and the potential for ordinary individuals to make an extraordinary impact on the world.
In conclusion, Rosa Parks remains a towering figure in the annals of history, revered for her courage, dignity, and unwavering commitment to justice. As an African American, I am deeply grateful for her legacy and the enduring impact of her contributions to the ongoing struggle for equality and social justice. May her example continue to inspire future generations to strive for a more just, inclusive, and equitable society for all.

Bookshelf to Big Screen Scholarship
My name is Maya Vukmirovic, I have always been an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration within the pages of my favorite books. However, there is one particular adaptation that holds a special place in my heart—the timeless classic, "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. This beloved novel, and its cinematic counterpart, have not only captivated my imagination but also bridged the gap between reading and viewing experiences in a profound and meaningful way.
From the moment I first delved into the pages of "To Kill a Mockingbird," I was transported to the fictional town of Maycomb, Alabama, and immersed in the story of Scout Finch, her brother Jem, and their father, Atticus. Harper Lee's masterful prose painted a vivid portrait of a bygone era, tackling themes of racism, injustice, and moral integrity with unparalleled depth and sensitivity. Through Scout's innocent yet perceptive narrative, I gained insights into the complexities of human nature and the enduring power of compassion and empathy.
When I learned that "To Kill a Mockingbird" had been adapted into a film, I approached it with a mixture of excitement and apprehension. Would the cinematic interpretation do justice to the literary masterpiece that had captured my heart? To my delight, the film exceeded my expectations, seamlessly bringing Lee's words to life on the silver screen.
What made the adaptation of "To Kill a Mockingbird" truly special to me was its faithful adherence to the source material, capturing the essence of the novel while adding visual and auditory elements that enriched the storytelling experience. Gregory Peck's portrayal of Atticus Finch was nothing short of remarkable, embodying the character's wisdom, integrity, and quiet strength with a rare authenticity. Likewise, Mary Badham and Phillip Alford breathed life into Scout and Jem, capturing the innocence and curiosity of childhood amidst the backdrop of social upheaval and moral ambiguity.
As I watched the film, I found myself drawn into the world of Maycomb once more, experiencing the story in a new and immersive way. The cinematography, music, and performances combined to evoke a range of emotions—from laughter and tears to anger and empathy—making it a truly unforgettable viewing experience.
What I cherish most about the adaptation of "To Kill a Mockingbird" is its ability to complement and enhance the reading experience, rather than overshadowing or detracting from it. While the film brought the characters and setting to life in a visually stunning manner, it remained true to the thematic depth and emotional resonance of the novel, preserving the essence of Harper Lee's timeless message.
In essence, "To Kill a Mockingbird" exemplifies the transformative power of storytelling, transcending the boundaries between literature and cinema to create a seamless and immersive narrative experience. As a book lover, this beloved book-to-film adaptation holds a special place in my heart, serving as a testament to the enduring impact of great literature and the art of cinematic storytelling.

MedLuxe Representation Matters Scholarship
As A future nursing student, I embark on my journey toward a nursing career with a clear vision and unwavering determination. Nursing, to me, is not just a profession but a calling—a calling to serve, heal, and advocate for those in need. My goals for my medical career are deeply rooted in my personal experiences, aspirations, and commitment to fostering diversity and compassion in healthcare.
First and foremost, my goal as a nurse is to provide compassionate and holistic care to patients from all walks of life. I believe in treating each individual with dignity, respect, and empathy, regardless of their background or circumstances. Whether I am comforting a patient in distress, advocating for their rights, or collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans, my primary objective is to ensure the well-being and comfort of those under my care.
Furthermore, I am passionate about promoting health equity and addressing healthcare disparities, particularly within marginalized and underserved communities. As a mixed-race individual, I have personally experienced the impact of systemic inequalities on access to healthcare and health outcomes. This firsthand experience has fueled my commitment to increasing racial diversity in healthcare and advocating for culturally competent care.
I firmly believe that increasing racial diversity in healthcare is essential for several reasons. Firstly, diverse healthcare providers bring unique perspectives, experiences, and insights to patient care, enriching the quality of care and enhancing patient satisfaction. Patients from diverse backgrounds may feel more comfortable and understood when they are treated by healthcare providers who share similar cultural experiences or identities.
Secondly, racial diversity in healthcare helps to address healthcare disparities and improve health outcomes for minority populations. Research has shown that patients are more likely to receive preventive care, adhere to treatment plans, and report higher levels of satisfaction when they receive care from racially concordant providers. By increasing racial diversity in healthcare, we can better address the unique healthcare needs and challenges faced by minority communities, ultimately leading to better health outcomes for all.
Finally, increasing racial diversity in healthcare is essential for promoting social justice and advancing health equity. Representation matters, and patients from minority backgrounds deserve to see healthcare providers who look like them and understand their unique cultural perspectives and needs. By diversifying the healthcare workforce, we can dismantle barriers to access and ensure that all individuals have equal opportunities to receive high-quality, culturally competent care.
In conclusion, my goals for my nursing career are centered around providing compassionate care, promoting health equity, and increasing racial diversity in healthcare. As Maya Vukmirovic, a mixed-race individual, I am committed to using my unique experiences and perspectives to advocate for marginalized communities and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable healthcare system. Through empathy, compassion, and a dedication to diversity, I aspire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and communities I serve.

Simon Strong Scholarship
Adversity is a universal companion on life's journey, shaping us in profound ways and testing the depths of our resilience. My name is Maya Vukmirovic, and like many, I have encountered my share of challenges. Yet, it is through these trials that I have discovered the strength within myself and the power of perseverance.
One particular moment of adversity stands out in my memory. It was during my 8th grade year, when My dad lost his job, He was depressed and as the eldest child, I felt the weight of responsibility on my shoulders. Suddenly, the future I had meticulously planned seemed uncertain, and the dreams I planned felt distant.
In the face of adversity, I chose to confront it head-on with determination and resourcefulness. I took on additional part-time work to help alleviate the financial strain on my family, balancing my responsibilities with my academic pursuits. While the road was fraught with challenges and sacrifices, I refused to let adversity dictate my destiny.
Instead, I used it as fuel to propel myself forward, channeling my fear and uncertainty into unwavering resolve. I sought support from trusted mentors and leaned on the strength of my family, finding solace in their unwavering belief in my ability to overcome any obstacle.
Through perseverance and sheer grit, I not only weathered the storm but emerged stronger and more resilient than before. Adversity taught me the value of resilience, the importance of adaptability, and the power of optimism in the face of uncertainty.
This experience fundamentally shaped me, instilling in me a newfound appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and a deep-seated belief in my ability to overcome any obstacle life throws my way. It taught me that adversity is not a roadblock but rather a stepping stone on the path to personal growth and self-discovery.
If I were to offer advice to someone facing similar circumstances, I would urge them to remember that adversity is not a reflection of their worth or potential. It is merely a temporary setback, a test of their resilience and determination. Embrace the challenge, draw strength from within, and lean on the support of those who believe in you. Remember that adversity has the power to transform you, to mold you into a stronger, more resilient version of yourself. And above all, never lose sight of the unwavering belief that brighter days lie ahead, waiting to be seized with courage and conviction.

James Lynn Baker II #BeACoffeeBean Scholarship
The issue affecting the community for the most part is Wylie and the inflation that has been brought upon the area, I would like to particularly see changes in the lack of affordable housing options for low-income families and individuals. Wylie, like many other communities across the country, really is facing a housing affordability crisis where the cost of housing has particularly outpaced a lot of income growth, making it extremely difficult for many residents to specifically find affordable and suitable housing.
Affordable Housing Development
This means collaborating with local government officials, non-profit organizations, and developers to increase the supply of affordable housing units in Wylie. This can be achieved through incentives for developers to include affordable units in their projects or through the construction of dedicated affordable housing complexes
Community Engagement
Engaging with the community to raise awareness about the importance of affordable housing and garnering support for initiatives aimed at addressing this issue. This can involve bringing to light the issues at town hall meetings, organizing community events, and collaborating with local media outlets to amplify the message.
Rental Assitance programs
Advocating for the expansion of kind of rental assistance programs to essentially help really low-income families afford housing in Wylie, is quite significant. These programs can provide subsidies or vouchers to for all intents and purposes eligible individuals, making housing definitely more accessible and affordable in a major way.
Policy Advocacy
Working on fairly local policymakers to advocate for policies that definitely promote affordable housing, kind of such as inclusionary zoning ordinances, rent control measures, and funding allocations for affordable housing initiatives in a fairly big way.
Partnerships
Building partnerships with local businesses, community leaders, and organizations to pool resources and expertise in tackling the affordable housing crisis in Wylie in a pretty big way. By working together, a more comprehensive and sustainable approach can for the most part be developed.
Creating positive Change
By implementing these strategies and initially collaborating among various stakeholders, positive change can be achieved by making an aggressive move to contribute to the lack of affordable housing. This for the most part means that through real rental assistance programs, community engagements, policy advocacy, and partnerships, we can work towards ensuring that all residents have access to safe, decent, and affordable housing options. I believe that a better tomorrow is always possible if only you put your mind to it. I think the main impact is action, if we don't act now were going to forever have an issue of incompetence. I believe in a better tomorrow that there can be success if we come together to make the better for one another.

Working with a partner on the court has taught me effective communication, the importance of supporting each other's ideas to achieve a command goal, and collaboration in a big way.

At the tender age of only 14, I faced a tremendous emotional burden, but through support, I discovered the most eye-opening newfound independence, determination, & empathy. This essay delves into the profound influence that schizophrenia had on shaping me into the person I am today and how I am committed to making a difference in my community as a nurse.
When I was younger my mother was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Amidst the chaos, these nurses who cared for my mom became beacons of hope but also recognized the toll it was taking on me. The genuine compassion and dedication touched my heart in ways I never thought could be possible. A nurse, Sarah, went above & beyond her duties to ensure my mom was comfortable making equally important her well-being was intact. She took the time to explain medical procedures to us in simple terms, easing our anxieties. The kindness extended beyond her professional responsibilities; she listened to me. Offering encouragement during moments of despair. Her support helped me to find the strength to persevere & face each day with renewed determination. She took the time to listen, offering solace & understanding in moments when words failed me.
The ability to provide amidst the challenging circumstances ignited a fire within me. I wanted to be a source of comfort & support for others, just as she had been for me. This had a profound impact on me & ignited something within me to make a difference in the lives of others.
I saw that nursing was not merely a profession, but a calling, a way to bring comfort & healing to those in need. These experiences instilled in me a sense of self-reliance that continues to shape my character today. That I should take pride in being there for others. Learning true meaning &, to connect with people on a deeper level even if you are strangers is what Sarah taught me. To appreciate others, we need to understand them... This newfound empathy became an essential part of who I am.
In conclusion, the journey through my mother's battle with schizophrenia & brain cancer was undoubtedly arduous, but it was also a transformation. The nurse who cared for her showed me that I too can be a beacon of hope during a person's darkest moments. It inspired me to pursue a career in nursing, allowing me to pay forward the kindness & compassion that is bestowed upon me. Her dedication & unwavering support transformed my life in profound ways. Pushing me to be driven by a deep desire. A sense for others facing adversity fosters a desire to positively impact people's lives & to have resilience, determination, & magnetic empathy. My journey from despair to hope, from adversity to purpose, has shaped me into the person I am today.

2023 has been an existing super exciting year that is going to belong to me, with the tour, as well as her new boyfriend as well as the exciting eras tour costumes. Recently i have been applying that is going to belong to college as well as really just been taking charge that belongs to my life before i become an existing adult. On top of the other hand listening to 1989 has been something great that is going to belong to me because i get to listen to it while sometimes going through the ups as well as downs that life brings. That was by the nostalgia as well as excitement that belongs to life as well as the several songs that was by the albumn on top of the soundtrack as well as how my year has gone so far. The first song i would pick would probably exist as a "blank space", because it tries to naviagate through the big chaos that belongs to the year with the exception of also to reminice on top of the uncertain outcomes that lie ahead. Almost such as the wonder that belongs to what could exist as a happens to be thrilling. It teaches me to never give up as well as keep on top of pushing. Because at the end that belongs to the day everyones future has the ability exist as a an existing blank space, its an existing blessing though because you never have the knowledge what your going to look forward to. It reminds me to take an existing steb back as well as let go. It embodies the experiences, challenges, as well as emotions i have faced inside of 2023. It perfectly depicts the challenges through the year. So i dont "playing hide as well as seek" with my emotions to the constant desire that is going to belong to "something that belongs to my very own"... Throughout my life, I have encountered numerous challenges that have tested my resilience and determination as I pursued higher education. Enduring abuse, mental illness, and persistent verbal mistreatment, I have managed to overcome these obstacles. My commitment now lies in using my education to give back to my community in the future. During my upbringing, I faced abusive circumstances within my household, which created an environment where my safety was constantly at risk. These experiences left deep emotional scars that impacted my self-esteem and overall mental well-being. It often seemed impossible to envision a brighter future, let alone pursue higher education. However, I refused to allow my circumstances to dictate my fate. Battling depression and anxiety became a constant struggle. These unseen opponents threatened to derail my educational aspirations. I remained steadfast in my determination to overcome them. I acquired coping strategies and gradually regained my mental well-being. I refused to let my circumstances dictate my future. With determination, I went to therapy and support to heal and regain control over my life. I plan on becoming an anesthesiologist so that I can make enough income to help my local charities. Plus my mental health group can come together to help one another through their challenges. So it is very clear that many of the challenges in life can be solved. The cycle can end. Growing up my family wasn't very fortunate and I felt as if I was a burden because there was a sense of independence in my household.
