Hi! My name is Matthew, and I’m a student at Elmhurst University who’s an aspiring guitarist, and wants to take my playing to the next level throughout college. I am a Business Administration major who is minoring in Communications and Religious Studies. College has been amazing so far but tuition is hard to keep up with and any amount of money can go a long way for me! My dream is to take over my father's plumbing company, which I am accomplishing by receiving my Business Administration degree, and attending trade school after I am through with University.

It may be just any old song, but “Postcards From Hell” by The Wood Brothers, inspires me most. This song was my first real step in my guitar playing, and through learning it, I’ve developed my love for fingerpicking style guitar playing. It took me a while to learn this song, but a family friend of mine, who is a very talented musician, told me, after i performed this song for him, that if i want to play guitar around him without a pick, i better practice my ass off to become talented in finger style playing. Since then, I have furthered developed my skills, and am proud of my accomplishments, though I know I have a long way to go before I am satisfied with the level I’m at.
