    Bold Great Minds Scholarship
I've always admired Theodore Roosevelt. To be quite frank I am not a huge political person and usually do not dive deep into past political figures. However, the reason that Roosevelt is someone I admire so much is because he used his platform and power to directly help a cause he was passionate about. I love to camp, hike, travel, and explore as much as the United States as I can. Each time I have visited a National Park, Theodore Roosevelt is always mentioned. He used his position of power to greatly improve the nature/environmental outlook of the American people. His impact will continuously be shown for the rest of time because he has founded so many National parks and sparked a movement for the better of America. Although our passion for the outdoor align the reason I admire him so much is for still expressing his fundamental beliefs no matter how powerful he was. A lot of people can be shaped due to their position in a company, often times people start thinking about what is best for the company and not necessarily backing what they believe in. Theodore Roosevelt is one person who continuously expressed his beliefs and made sure people understood what was important to him. I only hope I can stay true to my beliefs half as much as Roosevelt did. I am forever grateful for the impact he had on America's nature preservation but his ability to always hold true to his beliefs is the reason why I admire him and hope to share some characteristics.
    Bold Creativity Scholarship
Ever since I was a young child I have always been interested in taking things apart, building, and creating new objects. Through high school I worked at my local grocery store to save up for a 3D printer. Once I assembled the printer I have been on a mission to improve any and everything in my home. I've designed and printed my own toothbrush holder, phone stand, napkin holder, coasters, and much more. Any time I see a small inconvenience that I think can be improved I have the ability to draft up a design of a product in solidworks then actual produce the product with my 3D printer. Once I had the 3D printer I realized how creative I was, I never thought I was creative because I lack artistic/musical skills and I believed that was the only way to express creativity. However I now understand I have a niche creative mind for designing and building things. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to purchase a 3D printer which has allowed me to expand my creativity.

    1. My family is superior to all other families since we are filthy rich. I deserve the scholarship because I am the best and deserve to win first place in anything I compete in. 2.My goal is to barely get by in college (just need the paper degree), then I plan on taking over my father's multi million dollar company and become the CEO. 3. My parent's did not buy me a new Lexus for my 18th birthday, so I sold the Mercedes Benz they gifted me and purchased myself a brand new Lexus. Required a lot of problem solving and determination.

As my college career is closing to an end there are many accomplishments I am proud of. My biggest achievement though would be getting into and succeeding in college. During my junior year of high school I lost my father unexpectedly to an infectious disease(endocarditis). It was something nobody expected and quite honestly the hardest thing I have experienced. However to look back at that hard time and say that I was able to push through, get accepted to my top choice college, and now head into my senior year while achieving above a 3.6 GPA is something I am truly proud of. My father was my biggest role model and the reason I am the person I am today. He instilled in me how important education was but he did it in a way that made me enjoy learning. I found a great hobby of following my dad around and helping complete several tasks including electrical work, plumbing, building a PC computer, and continuous improvements to our family boat. I never saw these tasks as tedious or time consuming, I always appreciated what I learned from those tasks and the experiences I learned. When my father suddenly passed away I lost my motivation for learning. My grade drastically dropped the end of my junior year and beginning of senior year as I felt there was nothing worth doing because I had lost the most important thing in my life. Nothing made sense to me and I had no aspirations or goals for my future anymore. However, I kept pushing along. On the days I did not want to go to school or I did not want to complete a project I forced myself to keep going and get through these "tedious", "time consuming" tasks that served me no purpose. Once, I got into college I found my motivation back, I remembered why learning was so important to me and how much I truly enjoy it. Overcoming my father's death and getting accepted into a prestigious engineering school is my greatest achievement to date. Through those hard times I learned how to be perseverant, to never let up even though everything around you is falling to pieces. I learned how to have fundamental beliefs, mine is to never stop learning, a passion I learned from my dad but a belief I will continue to express the rest of my life. After completing this achievement of getting into a great school and doing well academically, my future goal is to get a successful job at a medical device company. I plan on being a manufacturing or R&D engineer when I graduate and hopefully I will be able to work my way up to becoming a supervisor/manager so I can continue to learn on my own as well as help others learn to.
