I read books daily.
Receiving a scholarship would help me attend college to pursue both becoming a Pre-K teacher and playing baseball collegiately. Becoming a Pre-K teacher is something that I am really passionate about. I want to give back to students because elementary school was not easy for me. I currently volunteer in a Pre-K classroom, and I love being able to help smaller children every day. Similarly, one of my favorite parts of being on the baseball team is the impact that we have on younger children in our community. They mimic the way we act on the field (our base celebrations) and always ask how the game went and who we play next. This has shown me that we play for more than just the school and we represent the community along with having kids of all ages look up to us as role models. I am going to have to take out loans to offset college costs and being a teacher is not the most lucrative career, so receiving scholarships would help lessen the number of loans I will need to pay back after college and allow me to focus on my studies and baseball while in college.
