- Marketing

I am a first generation Latina student pursuing fashion marketing and creative direction. Fashion is more than clothing to me, it is freedom, identity, and storytelling. I grew up in a low income household where practicality came first, but I’ve learned to value creativity as well. Fashion has given me confidence and a way to express myself beyond my circumstances. My journey includes challenges such as depression, anxiety, financial instability, and shifting from pre-med to fashion. At home, I support my mother, who is disabled and does not speak English, while navigating life with an absent father. These experiences shaped my resilience and independence. At the University of San Diego, I am involved in the American Marketing Association, Fashion Forward, and the Scott MacDonald Scholarship program, and I am a federal work-study student in Environmental and Ocean Sciences. Outside of school, I run a Depop resale business, work at Victoria’s Secret, and develop styling and photography projects. My goal is to become a creative director and build a future for myself and my family through fashion.
