My name is Martina and I am currently a returning student at Pima Community College. I am aspiring to become a dental hygienist to be an educator for patients on how important oral hygiene is for the whole body. My life goal is to have a rewarding career that helps patients become healthier. 5 years ago I became a dental assistant to financially provide for my daughter. I never would have thought I would become so passionate about the dental field and go back to school to become a dental hygienist. Completing my degree would be a dream come true for myself and my daughter. I want her to be able to see that even though life can be a struggle for a single mom, with dedication and hard work you can do anything you set your mind to.
