Success is often celebrated, but nobody recognizes that the path that leads to success is failure. My motivation to be successful in life is failure. Many people do their best to avoid failure, but I have learned over time that not always succeeding, helps and pushes me more to my goals. When you come short in life, it stings and leaves us disappointed and discouraged. But it´s these moments of defeat that we can take a chance to learn from. I find the growth in my failure and pursue from there.
Experiencing failure provided me with invaluable lessons that I could simply not learn through success. It showed me the areas where I needed improvement and mistakes that I could fix in the future. The ability to move forwards from failing is difficult but when I push myself after falling short, it has shown me why pursuing an education has been so important to me. I want to prove to myself that I am still capable of pursuing my goals even after knowing failing will always be on the table. Thinking negatively of yourself after failing is very common and hard to overcome, but it´s still very possible to keep on pursuing your goal and become successful.
Failure has helped me develop a growth mindset and made me believe through a repeated time of failure, dedication and hard work will open up my path to the success I keep on trying to reach. While embracing failure, I found not just the path to success, but a deeper understanding of myself and what I am truly capable of. If I were to not let myself learn how to fail, I believe I would have had a different mindset and constant struggles.
While I was still learning the ways of accepting failure, I was still unprepared for the feelings that came along with it. It´s hard to accept and move on from failing dreams you were so sure about, but I believe there is a reason for everything and I take that as my sign to move forward. I have became more confident and determined over time by these failures that I have experienced. If I have already failed once, I can do it many more times and that´s okay. I overall think of how beyond grateful I am to experience my progress in growing and learning how to maintain a goal and knowing how to pursue it, regardless of how difficult the pathway is.
