    “Stranger Things” Fanatic Scholarship
If I could form a squad with any three characters fromStranger Things to face a new supernatural threat from, it would be Eleven, Hopper, and Dustin. They would give us a well-rounded and have the "brains" to face any new supernatural threat. Their strengths, experiences, and abilities would complement each other, making them a force to never be broken with in the fight against the unknown. I would choose Eleven because with her telekinetic abilities and incredible strength, she would be an invaluable asset in any supernatural battle. Her determination and bravery in previous encounters with otherworldly creatures make her an obvious choice for any squad facing a new threat. Additionally, her connection with the Upside Down and her previous experiences with the demogorgon and the Mind Flayer would give our squad a much-needed edge in understanding and combating the new threat. Next, I would choose Hopper. As the chief of police in Hawkins, he has proven time and time again that he is not afraid to face danger head-on. His strategic thinking and physical prowess make him a formidable ally in any supernatural fight. His experience with the strange occurrences in Hawkins and his knowledge of the town's underground tunnels would be essential in navigating and strategizing against the new threat. Lastly, I would choose Dustin for the smarts. He's capable of handling super phenomenons by using what is mama gave him. He would be really straight forward and useful especially when time is limited. This is why I would choose the three out of the entire show. Eleven has the powers, Hopper has strength and confidence, and Dustin is smart.
    Chappell Roan Superfan Scholarship
Chappell Roan and her music has inspired me to not to be such a hermit and to try new things. I’m dressing more fun these days. I feel like I’m finding myself again. Depression, anxiety, and ADHD has been a big battle for me these last 10 years. I’ve lost interest in doing a lot of things but her music is getting me pumped to live life again. Her music really makes me feel like I don't have to be invisible, like my bi-curiousity is being acknowledged somehow. Since first hearing her album, I’ve literally cried tears of joy just from the representation her music gives to me alone. Femininomenon, HOT-TO-GO, Good Luck, Babe!, and Casual are my favorites. Not to mention that they are so fun and upbeat that you can’t be too upset while hearing it, so it helped with my depression and got me back into a workout routine.I ’ve been going through a depressive episode and her music has been my hyper fixation. This is why I chose Chappell Roan because she's going to be this generations' person of the decade. She is talented and inspired millions of people like me to get used to doing daily activities again. Thank you queen!
    Nintendo Super Fan Scholarship
My favorite Nintendo game to play in co-op mode is Mario Kart 8. The graphics are great and driving feels fantastic. Personally, I think all the tracks’ soundtracks are fantastic in the game and for the most part, they drive fantastically. I do wish there were more unlocks in the game, but with the hours I have in the game now, it wouldn’t matter at present, but I agree in that I would have enjoyed the first time experience a lot more with some unlocks.Whilst the character roster started off weak, it is growing to have a good amount of favorites, and slowly becoming one of the better rosters. My biggest complaint about the game is how stats are tied to cosmetics, so you cannot have both your favorite looking kart with the stats you like. Personally, it is the best game of the series. I have been playing Mario Kart as long as I could remember- since the Gamecube. A memorable moment from a multiplayer session that solidified its place as my top choice is me playing with my Dad. I am 20 now and I still love playing that game as much as I did when I was 7. My Dad would always let me win, but now I show him up every time. This is why I chose Mario Kart 8. Not because it fun, it is nostalgic and I share lots of childhood memories.
    GUTS- Olivia Rodrigo Fan Scholarship
A lyric from Olivia Rodrigo's ‘GUTS’ that resonates with your own teenage experience is from the song "Teenage Dream." "They all say that it gets better, it gets better the more you grow. Yeah, they all say that it gets better, it gets better, but what if I don't?" Her most recent album "Guts" is an emotional rollercoaster. It is almost like an ode to her own teen years, she starts the song by asking questions about stepping into adulthood and leaving being a teenager forever. In a way I feel like Olivia is telling herself she didn't make the most out of her teenage years, which in a way, I can relate to as well. She is basically saying "I'm sorry that I couldn't always be your teenage dream," reflecting on the years she has grown since and what it means to say goodbye to that era of her life she will never get back. This song was my favorite from the album when I first listened to it. I find it super vulnerable and it does make you feel the struggles that Olivia is going through. Also, it’s a perfect closing track for the album. The melodies are excellent, the lyrics are immaculate, and her voice screams perfection. Her words are what fully drag me into how good this song is. The songs deep meaning about not being enough hits deep since I have those same issues towards myself. The lyrics are a very nice summary of what the entire album is trying to cross over. The song paints the picture of someone trying not to crack under the pressure that was placed on their shoulders so early in their life. But in total she easily makes this song a top 5 for me on the album. Even with the fact "Teenage Dream," reflects on the challenges and anxieties of growing up under the spotlight, she makes it relatable for girls across the globe and that's why she inspires me. That's why that lyric brings me to stand on my two feet everyday. Even though my teenage years are over, that doesn't mean I have to dwell on it through my 20's. Or at least I know I'm not the only one. This is why I picked this song and knew that it was also the right song to choose for this essay. Olivia Rodrigo is a natural.
    1989 (Taylor's Version) Fan Scholarship
If my year had a soundtrack, there is no doubt that I would include songs from Taylor Swift's re-recorded album, 1989 (Taylor's Version). This iconic album captures the essence of nostalgia, love, heartbreak, and growth - all themes that have resonated deeply within my year. One of the songs that would be on my soundtrack from 1989 (Taylor's Version) is "Blank Space." This song perfectly encapsulates the rollercoaster of emotions that I have experienced this year. From the highs of new beginnings to the lows of heartache and disappointment, "Blank Space" captures the unpredictability and complexity of life. The catchy melody and clever lyrics remind me to embrace the moments of chaos and uncertainty. Despite the ups and downs, "Blank Space" serves as a reminder to embrace every experience, both good and bad. Another song that would make my soundtrack is "Wildest Dreams." This dreamy and nostalgic track reflects the longing and yearning for something more. As I reflect on my year, I have found myself chasing after my wildest dreams and aspirations. This song serves as a reminder to strive for the things that set my soul on fire, even if they may seem out of reach. "Wildest Dreams" encourages me to push past my comfort zone and pursue the things that make me feel truly alive. There's nothing that could give me the same adrenaline as her. In addition to these songs, the entire album of 1989 (Taylor's Version) holds a special place in my heart for the way it has resonated with me throughout the year. The re-recordings of these songs have served as a poignant reminder of the emotions and experiences that have shaped my year. From the infectious energy of "Shake It Off" to the introspective vulnerability of "This Love," each track on the album tells a story that I can deeply relate to. Ultimately, 1989 (Taylor's Version) has been the perfect soundtrack for my year so far. The album's themes of love, growth, and resilience have been a comforting and empowering presence as I navigate the highs and lows of life. Taylor Swift's re-recordings have breathed new life into these timeless songs and reminded me of the strength and beauty that can be found in vulnerability and self-discovery. If my year had a soundtrack, 1989 (Taylor's Version) would undoubtedly be a significant part of it. She is inspirational, she is the music industry, she is Taylor Alison Swift.
    Sabrina Carpenter Superfan Scholarship
The way she's persisted through hardships and career standstills proves that she is a role model worth emulating. To me she is the epitome of slow and steady wins the race. She has been grinding for years, took every opportunity she could get, and now she has a few of the biggest songs of the year. She earned so much and she deserves so much more. She is an inspiration singer, song-writer, instead of thinking she has it going good because she is super beautiful, instead I feel for her and she has comforted me in ways that no one else had. Sabrina Carpenter has songs for every mood that exists. Sabrina always got told that all the time in her whole career and apparently she hated, but she said now she understands. In a way I understand she wanted the success right away like her peers but never got it. I'm glad she didn't because it is a lot of pressure and I think she was too young to handle that fame. She's fun, pretty, has vocals and stage presence. It was only a matter of time until she has her smash hit. I love her dearly and this is why her career has impacted me for the better.
