You say I am arrogant, I say damn right”. These are the words that spark my soul every single day. That made me what I have become today as I am writing this. This started when I moved with my daily to Albania from Greece from a young age
During my younger years , the language barrier between Greek my first language and Albanian the official language in the place I immigrated to, this was very demanding on me. At a point in time, I was not speaking to anyone. My parents brought me to many doctors to find out what was wrong with me but they gave us no answers. As I got into fourth grade my language skills were getting better. However, as they knew years back, no one wanted to talk to me. One night around 8-9 pm I watched one of the first episodes of what will be my favorite anime, “Dragon Ball”. One of the oldest and most famous, called the Father of Anime for many reasons because of fighting scenes, impactful moments and character development. As I continued to watch Dragon Ball, one of the characters that had stuck with me is Vegeta. One of the important characters of the franchise but shadowed by the main protagonist Goku. The thing I liked about Vegeta was how confident he was on the battlefield. It was mostly shown during the tournament of power standing against Jiren, a way stronger opponent than himself. Without hesitation he did not care how strong he was and it was when these words, “You say I am arrogant, I say damn right” put a mark in my heart. The sheer confidence no matter how difficult the situation was what made me captivated by the character. On every single show related to dragon ball. Nobody in the whole cast made Vegeta’s pride and his own abilities being stepped down, but rather gave him motivation to strive for better.
These characteristics shined on during the time when I moved to America from Albania when I was 11. The difference in language, culture, food, and how people would interact was completely different. But that never let me change who I truly was; it improved myself for the better. I kept holding onto my beliefs, hobbies and culture while still continuing to explore and expand them. As I got into a few years of American school it was really hard to fit in. The language barrier in English was an obstacle and the accent was another challenge. Towards my years of ESL, trying to learn English. I face many failures that I was not good enough to understand or do certain things because of my language. These moments during those ties strive me harder to compete with myself and get better. In about 1.5 years I passed the ESL. This progress and dedication was so massive that it finally paid off.

Which inspired me to achieve my hobby and goals towards my life. It gave me motivation that no matter how foolish or ridiculously hard it can be, if you put your mind to it you will achieve it. This has curated into my future goals and hobbies I have acquired recently. Inspired by the Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama. It made me wonder and think creatively. Since 2024, I have been writing episodes and chapters of different stories and developing them. The overall theme and nurture of Vegeta throughout his whole life is to become a better version of himself. A tyrant on his start, into a savor of the universe.
