When a child is raised by both parents, it’s a beautiful memory. It shows the unity and love between the family. however, that wasn’t the case for me. I was raised only by my mom who I never once saw give up. I always saw all the efforts she did to raise me and my younger sister. For a single mother, it is hard to provide for her family because she needs to be able to balance work and family. In order for my mother to provide for me and my sister, she worked various jobs. Cook, house cleaner, cloth seller, and babysitter were a few of the jobs she had to work. Working with such jobs caused my mother a great deal of stress. As a consequence, my mother would cry at night. I never once saw my mom be sad in front of my sister or I, but I knew she cried at night, so we wouldn’t hear, but I did and that became my motivation. Now that I have the opportunity to go to college, I am willing to do anything to be able to get a career and provide for my family. My mom has done enough for many years, and it is now my turn to help her. I want to go to college not only because I want a career but also because I believe that if I can make an impact on the lives of younger generations, then they will be people of good. Going to university will give me the opportunity to become an Elementary teacher and help provide for my family. Elementary education is often looked down on because many believe it is not important but that is wrong. Elementary education is the foundation for children to learn how to be both at school and in society, therefore, the foundation has to be strong.
