Bio

As a Somali American Muslim woman, my narrative isn't familiar to society who is quick to label me based on the fact that I wear the hijab. My dream of becoming a journalist comes from my love of writing ever since I was nine. I believe that with the power of being a journalist, I can create an unbiased narrative for those who are stopped by the systems in our country from telling their own narrative.
