Bio

Hi there! My name is Majo and I am studying Engineering Physics at Stanford University. I like science, art, and painting scientific art. Through my art, I hope to transmit the beauty of science through a different medium and reach as many people as possible! I have published several paintings on physics and biology on an international art publisher called Flamantes and different magazines. My goal is to inspire people from all backgrounds and invite them to learn more about STEM! One of my long-term goals is to become a role model in my country of origin, Mexico, and change the gender stereotypes in scientific and engineering fields. Mexico is the country in Latin America with the lowest percentage of female researchers! When I graduate, I want to start a program that empowers high school girls and provides them with the tools and support they need to enter, and most importantly persist, in STEM fields. I hope to show other girls the great things that come from pursuing your dreams and give them the motivation to overcome any obstacle!
