As a little girl, I have always enjoyed school and one of my favorite subjects was history because I loved learning about people and how are environment and lands grow. I am pursuing Education because when I was little I was picked a lot on and I remember having this teacher who not only asked where is your homework Miss Morales but how are you feeling? She would always have the most welcoming smile and when I wanted to give up I always remember one thing she always told me." Fear only wins if you stay down. Fight back no matter how many times you fall." I believe students need to feel loved even by teachers because that might be the only love they are getting. Sometimes you save someone without even noticing. Education is slowly disappearing and kid's learning is disappearing each day because there are not enough teachers at all. We need education or are future generation will cease to exist. Every time a teacher leaves a field one more student drops out of high school and one more will end up in the streets or working a low-income job trying to get by. Another reason is my son who is about to be 8 on Oct 23. I want him to love school as much as I do even at my age now. I want him to keep seeing how I want to help others even if it is just a simple conversation. I want to be that teacher that a kid can talk to me and know they feel important. I don't want to child to feel like he/she a grade but a human who needs maybe just a hello. If I was to win it would help me so much because I am a single mom who trying to finish school and raise a boy to become a great man in the future. This money would help me pay for school and still be able to provide for myself and my home. It would also help with school books and extra materials I would need to finish my education. School books are getting more expensive and virtually so everything going on even classes winning this scholarship would help financially so much.
