I’m a student driven by a deep commitment to protect and improve the lives of children in underserved communities and improve healthcare equity. Growing up in Honduras, I saw how poverty forces children to sacrifice education and how fragile healthcare and mental health systems fail families in crisis. Those experiences, along with seeing loved ones struggle to access medical and mental health resources, reshaped how I view responsibility, service, and education. I plan to pursue higher education to work with underserved communities and advocate for children whose lives are shaped by systemic negligence.
