Hello everyone, my name is Manuele Zarconeminyety, and I am currently pursuing a degree in computer information systems at College of the Desert, with the goal of transferring to SANS Institute of Technology for a cybersecurity focus. A little bit about me: I found my passion for cybersecurity during my service in the Marines. Ever since learning about the cybersecurity world, I have been honing my skills on Tryhackme, Hack The Box, and in the National Cyber League-NCL. One of my main goals is to be recognized as a leader within my community and to be able to assist on a greater scale when it comes to the cybersecurity posture for the United States. I am currently the president of the College of the Desert Information System-CODIS club, and with my team alongside me, we have competed in NCL competitions and consistently performed very well. I think I would be a good pick because, ultimately, my end goal is to give back to the cybersecurity field and the United States. I plan on doing this in the form of free training for anyone who wishes to be a part of the cybersec field and to one day be well-recognized enough to give conferences about the current security state of the digital landscape.

My name is Manuele Zarconeminyety, and I am an aspiring cybersecurity expert. I discovered my passion for cybersecurity during my service in the Marines, and exploring this field has been an amazing experience filled with hurdles, challenges, and opportunities. Ever since learning about the cybersecurity world, I have been honing my skills on Tryhackme, Hack The Box, and in the National Cyber League-NCL. For my dream job, I have multiple steps that are as important as my career goal. First, I would want to be a penetration tester for the first half of my career. I really want to gain hands-on experience in vulnerability testing and acquire a fundamental understanding of how security practices hinder attacks and how gaps in them can allow for unwanted access. From penetration testing, I would try to pivot to the blue team side of things, like a cybersecurity engineer or analyst, and ultimately reach my dream job, which would be a Cyber Threat Researcher for the United States. I hope one day I can help keep my country safe from cyberattacks, especially against critical infrastructure, with the goal of creating a safer place for my family.
