Many have different views on what the American dream is, so which one is mine you ask. First off i am greatful to even have the opportunity to say i even have a shot to create my version of the American Dream. Most of us undocumented people may feel excluded due to being very limited with our options for something as simple as a loan, credit card or even jobs. I was brough here as a child to live with my grandmother as my maternal mother was to young to care for me. Life has been tough with limited options. Im school i always put my all into track and field and was good enough to be put into varsity my freshman year. Due to being undocumented i was never able to accept any scholarships unfortunately so i settled and worked retail and several other jobs feeling a bit lost. A few years ago i met my wife which gave me a different perspective of the American Dream. Because i wanted to provide a good life for us i enrolled into school to further my education and persue a stable career. We have been through are ups and down together but never quite had the money necessary to fix my status. I always let her know after i accomplish my career goals we can worry about that but i want to provide the best i can The American Dream to me has changed over time. As of today the American Dream is to spend my life with those who care and love me and spend as much time as i possibly can with them. I would also like to have a positive impact in this world and help those in need. Living life to have a positive impact in this world is something i believe to be part of my American Dream. Making this world a better place to live will not only be beneficial for me but to others as well. I would like to leave this world knowing i left something valuable to my future kids. The American Dream fit for me is not only to live a comfortable life with my loved ones but to leave a mark of positive change behind. Surrounding myself with those who seek to do better will always be something i look foward to. This is what my American Dream looks like.

Plenty of us have taken a trip to the hospital on more than one occasion and trust those in health care when we are vulnerable. I choose to take a career path in health care and become an xray technician in order to help those in need. My mother would go into the hospital often at one time and the health care workers would do their best to help. Helping others always gave me great satisfaction which is why i choose this career path. There isnt many people out there who have the patience to deal with injured or sick individuals. I always see patients as family, if i were in their position i would hope those helping would do there best to cure my significant other or family member. I devout my self to helping those in need in a vulnerable moment and to the best of my ability help others. Trusting strangers to help you at such a time may be extremely difficult for some which is understandable. Not all Healthcare workers are in the best of patients which i definitely have experienced. There will always be those in any line of work that will never have the best interest of those who they are supposed to be assisting and i believe Healthcare should have as minimal of those as possible. We need a kind of person who will not judge patients as well as always putting them first. We have choose to put those seeking our help first at all times rather than ours. Choosing radiology as a career intrigued me due to the fact that we can detect illness or causes of injury in a deeper level. We are not only able to see if superficially but also internally which is extremely exciting. Learning how our body reacts to certain diseases as well as the type of injuries we could possibly fix with this type of technology is amazing. Before going to school for this career path i never thought twice about how our bodies worked. Now that i have learned much more about the human body it fascinates me on what amazing creatures and how complex we truly are. The more i learn the more i want to break down every process and disease or injuries that can possibly occur. Something as simple as drinking water can have a huge impact on our health for example and these is so much more i would love to learn.
