Bio

My name is Maleah Smith. I've been a cheerleader for 6 years. I plan to go to College at Chattanooga State and apply for the radiology program to become an ultrasound tech. I'm going to start job shadowing at Prime Imaging to get some experience with radiology before I go into that field! I love all things Jesus, coffee, friends, animals, singing, family, blue, and nature. I own a small business named Glow in Grace, and I make Christian t-shirts using a Cricut and vinyl. I work in a vet clinic, and absolutely love animals! My hobbies are Bible studies, going on hikes, hanging with friends, learning guitar, and making shirts. My goal in life is to always try my best and to be kind to everyone.

Living a life full of purpose means more than living life in a constant routine with no plans or any willingness to try something new. Living a life full of purpose is to wake up each day with a positive mindset, knowing what your goals are, and thinking about what you can do to achieve them. A purposeful life is one with values, passion, faith, goals, curiosity, and perseverance. Setting goals builds resilience, gives direction, builds motivation, and teaches discipline. And with that, you will only keep growing. Goals aren't something you try to rush through to check off a list, but they're something that you have to have patience with. Some people may struggle with trying to understand that their life actually does have purpose because of trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, etc. And for a long time, that was me, but two years ago, I met Jesus, and He has brought so much purpose. He gave me a clear sense of identity. For so long, I was focused on the things this world had to offer, and I always wondered why I still felt like my life had no purpose. However, when I fully surrendered to Jesus i finally felt full. So to me, living a life full of purpose is putting my faith first by serving others and reflecting Christ's love. Being a Christian in today's world isn't easy, but Jesus has taught me to always live life with hope and to always love Him, love people, grow in faith, and trust His plan. As I move forward in my life and start college, I want my faith to guide me by continuing to follow Jesus and considering Him before I make decisions. I plan to make intentional positive choices that impact others by looking for opportunities to show acts of kindness, even if it's small. You never know what someone may be going through, and something little could make their day. Responding in kindness is always the best option, even if they are someone who wasn't very nice to you. Some ways I like to show kindness when given the opportunity to are saying encouraging things, holding the door, saying thank you, or even offering to help them with something. To impact my community, a good way to make positive choices would be volunteering at places that have low volunteering to help where help is needed. Another way is to shop at a local small business and help support them.
