    Bold Joy Scholarship
I seek joy out in many ways in my life. I find peace in the little things. I have a huge affinity for animals. At my house, I have 3 dogs, 2 axolotls, a gecko, a water monitor, 4 fish, a lobster, 13 tortoises, and 4 turtles. Many may say this is excessive but these animals are what gives me joy. I spend two hours out of my day prepping, feeding, cleaning, and bathing these wonderful animals. I have a very busy life filled with a 40 hour work week and a full-time career in college. At the end of the day being a nurturing and caring individual towards another animal is what gives me joy in life. Many people ask me how I got into having so many animals, especially turtles and tortoises. This is definitely one of my favorite questions. I've loved turtles specifically since I was a child. "Honu" is the Hawaiian word for turtle which means "sacred shell". This is beautiful as they represent both peace and longevity. It's easy to see how passionate I feel about these animals. I've taken the Hawaiian way and allowed myself to have a joyous and peaceful life by loving and studying these magnificent creatures. I plan to continue to allow nurturing and taking care of my animals to bring joy to my life. I'm always open to questions from many individuals on how I do what I do. I'm always happy to answer as well as help anyone else that may want to start a chelonian family.
    Bold Career Goals Scholarship
I'm currently in college seeking a degree in computer engineering. With this degree, I hope to work for apple and help create new technology that helps benefit the world. This is just the start of my career. After getting much on-the-job training with apple, I plan to use the experience that I've obtained to venture off and create my own company. I'm a small-town boy with some big-city dreams. I plan to collaborate with my childhood friend who currently works with NASA and start a company that can truly make an impact on the world. With her aerospace technology and my computer engineering, we plan to create new technology that will benefit both air and space travel for years to come. This will just be the beginning. We hope to create a company with innovative technology that benefits all mankind. During this process, we will believe in an affordable and happy environment for our employees. We want the employees that work for us to not only be happy at their job but also feel secure with their pay. With this in mind, my future career plans are based on the principle of 1% inspiration and 99%perspiration. In conclusion, it's evident now that I have very bold career goals. I want to create something so beautiful that many say it's impossible. Many may ask how to a dream into reality. I say courage is the magic that will turn the dream into a reality.
