Becoming an artist has given my life meaning, has shown me that nothing is impossible and has taught me that my mind is my greatest tool. I’m someone who has always been fascinated by art and drawn specifically to animation. I longed for watching cartoons as a kid and seeing many stories told through a visual medium. Since then, I have aspired to become an animator. My dream is to animate for big screen movies and tv shows like the ones I grew up watching. I am pursing a bachelor’s degree in film and animation at Rochester Institute of Technology. I would like to enhance my artistic skills and become a lead animator or animation director. I hope to someday establish my very own animation studio. A scholarship would help improve my experience at the school greatly. It would mean I would spend less time worried about affording school, and I would spend more time bettering myself and focusing on my studies. I have so many ideas and have created many of my own original characters and stories that I can’t wait to share with the world. I hope that someday my work will raise awareness, inspire others to take action and create a change in the world.
