    YOU GOT IT GIRL SCHOLARSHIP
I am definitely a "YOU GOT IT GIRL!" My life has had quite the challenges. I have seen my parents work very hard just to get by. My dad was in the military, so he was gone for almost 7 years as my mom worked to keep the 3 of us children grounded and taken care of by herself. I had to miss out on a lot of things that my friends were able to do. At times, our lack of finances kept us from going on field trips, attending parties, and traveling during times when others were out and traveling. Just this year, my parents were able to buy a home that fit our family. I am so proud of them, and it makes me truly work hard and strive toward my goals. I was always very shy and quiet, but I took a leap of faith last year and joined our school's cheer team. I loved it! I thrived and truly enjoyed being a leader, growing, and being BOLD. This year, they made me cheer captain! I was so overwhelmed and shocked that my hard work and willingness to try something new had paid off. I won 2 awards this year because of my dedication. My goal is to show others that it's okay to be nervous, but one of the most important things you can do it to try hard and overcome your fears. Now, I am looking into cheering and leading young girls in the future. I am so excited to see what the future holds. As the first in my family to go into the medical field, I am a bit nervous, but God has shown me that blessings come with boldness. I believe that a YOU GOT IT GIRL will always serve others, speak highly of herself, set and work toward big goals, and maintain Christ-like character. These past 2 years have molded me into a better person, a stronger person, and someone who sees the beauty in the making in all situations. I am thankful for my strong parents, who have poured their love into us, and taught us that even though life can seem challenginga t times, there is nothing more rewarding than reaching your goals through personal ambition with a purpose. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I hope that you consider me for your scholarship. I will not let you down!
