Bio

My name is Mairead Maloney and I am a second year Software Engineering student at McGill University. Through my studies, I have developed a passion for tech, and teaching tech. In my courses and internship placements, I enjoy learning new skills such as computer networking and security protocols. Outside of this, I volunteer as the Vice-President Communications for the McGill Engineering Undergraduate Society. In this role I help students learn web development and server maintenance in order to maintain our websites. I also manage a team of over 30 students dedicated to communicating with the engineering student body. I also work part-time, leading robotics projects in local elementary schools for the non-profit Youth Fusion. I am looking for scholarships so that I can maintain my academic and professional success while continuing to get involved and teach tech!
