I am interested in pursing the field of criminology. As the capital of Georgia, Atlanta experiences a lot of crime - I know that with many ethnic populations within Atlanta and metro-Atlanta, many injustices occur. Realistically, not every family can have the attention and dedication they deserve when a tragedy happens. If I could pursue my education in a way where I know all aspects of crime, including the legal, psychological, and scientific aspects, my knowledge can be expansive enough that I can bring so many families answers and solace. Also, by knowing all the components of criminology, I could be proactive in reducing crime while also solving others. Perhaps then, people will feel safer and at peace.
