I imagine a world where kindness and creativity blossom in the new and impressionable generations. My interests in psychology, marketing, and music guide my understanding and will change the world. Being a year ahead in school provides me with additional time to succeed, and my hard work shines through as a 4.0 GATE student and leader in various extracurriculars. As a musician, I express my feelings through songs. I also notice the aspects of psychology in all areas of my life, from the competitive swimmers’ minds, the sections of the brain used when listening to or creating music, to how the TikTok marketing was so persuasive that I bought a product I definitely didn’t need. Inspired by authors like James Clear and Mel Robbins, I aim to help others through my passion for self-help. Built from psychology books and podcasts, my knowledge will grow through my pursuit of a degree in psychology at a prestigious university. Beyond higher education, I will be a lifelong learner connected to diverse cultures, learning empathy. I aim to break the shackles of societal norms on my generation through the fragmented communities on social media. I believe genuine connection and understanding can overcome divisions and reverse stereotypes associated with different identities. My purpose is to create connections and succeed globally, inspiring future generations to chase their dreams. I seek scholarships to invest in my potential while honoring the sacrifices my 0.5-generation Filipino immigrant parents have made toward the pursuit of my dreams.
