Hi, My name is Mahsa Baghbanijavid. I'm originally from Iran, but I'm currently living in Rhode Island. My family and I immigrated to the United States when I was a high school sophomore when the pandemic started. I am interested in biology as my major, and I am planning on becoming a gynecologist in the future. Besides school, I'm interested in photography and comedy. I am the director assistant of the comedy team in my school and do photography and photo editing for my school's yearbook team. I also mentor disadvantaged students in Iran with their English lessons. I am active as a volunteer teaching assistant in Providence public schools, and I used to mentor Ukrainian students previously, as well. I'm passionate about helping other people, especially immigrants and people from minority groups, like myself. I'm passionate about bringing justice to society, and being engaged as a citizen.
