Bio

Hello there! My name is Mahitab Elbohoty. I am a person who loves adornment and colors in everything around me, it bringing optimism into every part of my life, and I love to bring happiness to people around me. Make gifts meaningful by putting the time in creating them, whether baking and cooking. My goal is to become a dentist. A good dentist is personable and is someone who can put people at ease. Most of a dentist's workday is spent caring for patients. Dentists educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care. Being able to explain technical information in an easy to understand manner is part of the job. My goal in life is to be successful and never stop striving for success and progress, whatever the obstacles meet me. In my belief success means happiness and satisfaction gained from overcoming challenges and obstacles. Some factors and effects shape one's thoughts and feelings. Sometimes these challenges become terrible, particularly when the odds are against you. However, getting on against all odds is something everyone can perform, and to overcome these challenges, everyone needs to have a never quit belief in life.

There are several ways to activate positive change in my community. The followings are some of them- · By becoming a mentor Becoming a mentor will help others learn the skill possess by me. Thus, a positive environment will be boosted. · By organizing a charitable event Community service isn’t just words, but an opportunity in life to contribute one’s time to helping others and making a difference in society; and thus a better place to live for all. Throughout my years of school, I have been fortunate enough to see hands-on, how sharing what I’ve learned in my life with others, makes a direct positive influence on their lives. Music and academics, along with my Christian faith, have always been at the forefront of my life and have educated and inspired me to enjoy serving in the community. Throughout my years of school, I have increased my knowledge of music and have shared what I’ve learned by performing in the metropolitan Detroit area. I have had the opportunity to perform with different bands at Senior Citizen Homes for their holiday parties, awards banquets and summer picnics. Through school, I have learned how to prepare, set up rehearsals, and organize music so that the event runs smoothly. The Seniors Citizens are always very appreciative and truly enjoy the experience. I have helped set up games, sing and dance with them and we all have a very good time. By organizing a charitable event, people will come forward and serve the people without any personal interest. · Organizing frequent community meetings Frequent meetings let people meet and understand each other. It brings positivity to the attendees. · Volunteer Becoming a volunteer in the local social group will give me an opportunity to help others. I got inspired doing so, by the happiness and positive relationship among the people. People give blessings when they are helped. Their blessings give the motivation for doing such good for the people. I know serving in the community will always be part of my goal in life, whether it is musically, academically or my new venture in medicine. I have a lot to learn, but once I become more educated, I will also increase my ability to share what I’ve learned. Donating my time to a community is something I will always pursue because sometimes people just need support and it’s what life is all about.

Change happens in this world every second, just like days and nights, time and tide. Change is unavoidable, and we must learn to accept it in our lives. Smart people learn to adapt to change. But the person who brings about the change he or she desires in the world makes history. "We should be the change we want to see in the world," said Mahatma Gandhi. Instead of facing the world with fear, a good man will make a change that will benefit us and others. As a result, we must always be bold enough to bring about new changes in the world. A change we initiate should bring about world peace and harmony. What does it mean to be the change you want to see? What would it look like if we chose to be the change we wish to see in the world? It would imply that we concentrate on our own thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours rather than what others are doing. We would stop judging others and instead of complaining about others, we would practise self-reflection.It is certainly true that no change in the world as a whole can come from groups of people unless they individually accept or work to create the desired changes, isn't it? This means that in order for a group to change, individuals must first change. As a result, someone must be the first, or one of the first, to make it open to change. If you want a specific change, it can and should be you. Equal rights and opportunities for all people, of all genders, everywhere. It’s not a new vision, but still a bold one, as no country in the world has achieved gender equality in all aspects of life. Women can be empowered in a variety of ways. Individuals and the government must work together to make it happen. Girls' education should be made compulsory so that women can become illiterate and make a living for themselves. Women, regardless of gender, must be given equal opportunities in all fields. Furthermore, they must be paid equally. By prohibiting child marriage, we can empower women. Various programmes must be held to teach them how to fend for themselves in the event of a financial crisis. Most importantly, the shame of divorce and abuse must be abandoned. Because they are afraid of society, many women remain in abusive relationships. “Changing our face can change nothing. But facing our change can change everything” – which means saying no for a change cannot give any positive results. But facing the changes and taking away the fear can make real wonders in the world. Great achievers of the world did not fear the change but they made the change they wanted in this world.
    Bold Friendship Matters Scholarship
friendship means a lot to me and I always hold my friends dear to the heart. A friend is that person who has your back even in the most difficult situations of life. I am an easy person to be friends with because I treat every one of my friends with respect and honesty. I understand that in every friendship, what is required is complementarity and symbiosis and not opportunism. I still have contact of my greatest childhood friends because we have had good relationships all the way through. You my friend, I hold dear the friendship that I have with you. You have had me get out of situations that are quite imaginable that a friend could do. And I believe that you are that type of a friend. As a friend, you have sacrificed your time and resources to ensure that I am happy and that I achieve my life desires. The other friend that I can rate in the same category is my childhood friend whom we grew up together. He is an amazing person to be with.
    Bold Motivation Scholarship
There are two way people are motivated to do things ether externally or internally. Internally motivated individuals are motivated by their goals and the emotions and feelings inside of them. When someone is externally motivated their motivators are other people or things it is not really something that the individual themselves are passionate about. Many experiments have been made about how to determine who is motivated internally and externally, the “Academic Motivational Inventory” created by Julian B. Rotter is a great way to asses which motivates you more. With learning what motivates you, you are able to create a better plan of action for course work and activities to succeed in any task handed to you. There are two learning styles used by individuals as well, active and passive learning depending on how engaged you are in the course. There are some easy steps to be able to get to the more internal motivations and active learner strategies Going to the SAC workshop “Motivating Yourself to Achieve Success!” I learned a lot about myself as a student and how I react to different things. I have worked hard to get where I am now there is no doubt about that but some days and sometimes weeks I just do not want to do anything because I feel unmotivated. I must keep pressing on though it is my job as a student to get the most out of my education to make my life better in the future. If I can find easier ways to get myself to do things that need to be done, I am more than happy to try them.
    Bold Legacy Scholarship
I believe that there are several legacies a person leaves behind in this world. Be it for good or bad - the personal stories, life possessions, and the spiritual. I was once on a tour in a foreign country when the guide asked each of us, "What legacy are you wanting to leave behind?" I thought upon the question for a while debating how I should answer her. I didn’t feel at the time that I had much to leave as I was still young, so I explained that since I was a seven-year-old girl, I had been writing in my diary so that one day my descendants would see what my life was like. My mother didn’t remember much of her childhood and I was always curious about it. How had she grown up? What was her life like then as opposed to now? How did she get to be where she was? So I had made up my mind that my children would know what I had gone through, physically, mentally, and spiritually, and hopefully gain insight from the past to help them in the future, and to feel some sort of connection to me as a part of their past. To this day I still continue my diary. But my legacy is so much more now!

In “Shooting an Elephant,” George Orwell writes about his experience as a policeman in Burma. During the time that he was writing, Burma was controlled by the British empire. Orwell’s essay points out the paradox of the Europeans who thought they were more powerful than the people they were colonizing. Orwell’s essay meets the criteria of literary journalism as defined by Kapuscinski because he wrote his essay in such a way that it was based on his personal opinions and used techniques of fiction. Through the use of symbolism, metaphor, and imagery, Orwell grabs the reader's attention to critique British imperialism. He shows how the encounter between him (the colonizer) and the people who his country colonized affected him to make his decision to shoot the elephant. Orwell’s presence as a police officer plays a huge role in symbolism. His role as a policeman holds a certain power in Burmese society. He points out in the essay that the Burmese people expect him to do his job, otherwise, he will be ridiculed. “He becomes a sort of hollow, posing dummy, the conventionalized figure of a sahib. For it is the condition of his rule that he shall spend his life in trying to impress the "natives," and so in every crisis he has got to do what the "natives" expect of him... I had got to shoot the elephant... The crowd would laugh at me,” (p. 3). This proves that when Orwell shot the elephant, he did so to represent the British authority. If he failed to shoot the elephant, the British reputation of authority in Burma would also decrease.

In response to the question, I am interested in a career in the health sciences because ever since middle school, I have had a passion for the sciences and helping others. I have shown these descriptions by being involved in the Technology Student Association at my school, and becoming Vice-President of the club. During my three years in the club, I have had opportunities to compete with other schools in STEM events, specifically in the science area allowing myself to explore things beyond my horizon. Furthermore, I have dedicated myself in volunteering in a program called La Casita, where I have had the honor to assist wonderful and humble children with their homework. I feel that even though I have been teaching children to comprehend their homework, I have also gained and learned a significant amount of things from them. For example, when I have had an awful day and show up to the program, they always light my day and teach that life is too short to be upset. At the moment, I plan to combine both my science skills and passion for helping others by hoping that one day I will become a pharmacist. Through the Health Sciences Summer Program, I hope that I will keep exploring more options from nutrition, health behavior, biotechnology, nursing, communication, and have an exciting camp experience. The impact I want to make on the world is to show others that no matter who you are or where you are from, anyone can have a higher education and have the profession that they have always desired. Ever since I can remember, I have held education as a must in life, and that no matter what obstacles come my way, I will overcome them. I want to show others that anything is possible despite there being people, including family members that will doubt your ability of attending college. What people need to know is that no matter what people think, you can still succeed if you invest time and energy to the things you are passionate about. I want to someday say that I came from a low-income household and despite being Latino, I was able to go to college and become the person I was meant to be.

As a part of my legacy that I will leave behind is physical financially; a company that is well-founded and making a profit, an aspect of my life possessions passed to the next generation. Together with my husband, we are building up a large moving and storage company that we are going to expand internationally! As each year passes, we grow closer and closer to our goal. Whether or not our children or our children's children decide to keep in the business or eventually sell it - at least we will have done our part to provide for them as far into the future as we could. Our moving company is for the children. Because of the company and our efforts towards financial stability, I have decided to go to college for a BA in Graphic Design & Media Arts, Minoring in Business Management and Marketing. With this scholarship, I will be taking another step forward in the overall goal to leave a legacy behind for our descendants. My children will reap the benefits of our work in our efforts to provide for them. Just as Avraham Avinu did for his descendants after him. This will be my legacy!

Reading is my passion in life. Folktales is my favourute type of readings. Folktales are well-known cultural/traditional stories, myths, or folks that are spread by word of mouth. They are typically considered fictional stories that people have due to them being passed down from generation to generation. One of the most well-known folktale stories is “Cinderella.” Folktales are spread due to word of mouth and due to that reasoning there are different variants of the “Cinderella” story, all portrayed similarly but come with a slightly different twist. The most modern version of the “Cinderella” story was written by Charles Perrault; Perrault’s version of the story was different from the other versions because his version was child-friendly and also had a happy ending. Any individual age group would enjoy this version due to it being a classic and not being complex. Supporting articles that can be used to deeper interpret the classic “Cinderella” story would be “Wealth, Beauty, and Revenge” by Rob Baum, “Cinderella’s Stepsisters” by Toni Morrison, and “A Netherworld of Smut” by Bruno Bettelheim. The “Wealth, Beauty, and Revenge” article strictly focuses on a feminist view and points out the challenges and obstacles that a female must face in there journey in order to ultimately get to a certain point in life. The purpose of the “Cinderella’s Stepsisters'' article is to give us a reality check and a reminder that as women we shouldn’t belittle each other but instead, we need to acknowledge our privileges and help each other which will allow people to still have faith in humanity. The article “A Netherworld of Smut” tends to give self-comfort to children with the hope that if people can believe in Cinderella, they can also believe in themselves. It alsoallows them to personally relate their experiences with Cinderella’s.

COVID-19 has drastically changed the education landscape for millions of students around the world. The stark consequences of COVID-19 have thrown the education industry for a loop, the sudden switch to digital learning has brought with it a few valuable lessons. In fact, the future of education has been transformed to not only accommodate online classrooms but embrace digital platforms. Technology, am I right ? when there is a chance something can go wrong, it usually will. Whether it is unstable WiFi or an unfriendly user interface, technology still plays a huge role in online learning. Like many students, I have also been affected by the decision to cancel exams this year. I was meant to be achieving the highest score this summer. Whether we were due to take the SAT or school tests or any other exams this year, I think the news was shocking to us all, but it has affected us in different ways. For some this can be a great relief; the lead up to exams can be stressful and cause a lot of anxiety. I know loads of students who have been staying up all night to revise. I felt a mix of weird feelings. I do not think that it sunk in properly, but I was quite upset about it just because I felt -and still feel- frustrated that I will never know what I will get after all of the time and efforts that I put in. I have been struggling to know what to do, whether I should continue or not, but no matter where we are in life, we will always be learning, and I believe that we should be able to enjoy and benefit from what we learn

There are many reasons why giving is important. Giving is a way to sharing back the same love extended to by others to others. What is most important to me about giving is that no matter how much or how little you can give; you can still have the ability to have an impact on someone’s life. Giving helps others, because not everyone is lucky enough to live a fair and comfortable life. So, when you give to the needy for example you add more value to their lives and in return adding value to yours. Not only can giving impact the lives of others, it could also greatly impact yours. When I give money to charity the most important thing that I care about is, whether or not the cause that they are fighting towards honors my values. Donating to causes that honor your values is a form of moral boosters. When your giving money to help fight for something you agree with you feel better about and you feel a great sense of accomplishment when doing it. If the there is a charity, cause or organization that doesn’t share the same values as me there’s still a chance that I will donate them so long as I have done some intensive research on the organization and agree. As an example, is will use me. I still donate money to the red cross although their countless scandals have gone against my values, I still donate to them because I can recognize the importance of the work that they do even though they’ve made many mistakes in the past

What is math? If you had asked me that question at the beginning of High school, then my answer would have been something like: “math is about numbers, letters, and equations.” During the junior year, I started studying SAT to join the March trial, but I found it difficult in the Math section. I start taking courses, but none of the teachers reached me what I wanted to understand. Some teachers say that you don’t need math other than basic math principles—you can live without more complicated math. They say, if you need it, then use a calculator. That, however, is not correct; you need math and could not live well without math, even including more complicated math concepts. Then I found a teacher who understands my curiosity and ambitions toward math especially geometry. He told me that God made us with a sense of curiosity so we can learn, do, and think about all sorts of things. Math is that thing that connects everything. There is a common misconception among math teachers they “believe that mathematics revolves around numbers and formulas, not words.” Writing is very important for the understanding of mathematical concepts. Math is all about algorithms and solving equations, but you need to use writing to explain your thought process. That includes knowing specific mathematical vocabulary to show the process of solving the algorithms. Educators believe there is a strong relationship between studying mathematics and increasing creative thinking. The teachers can provide an effective environment for thinking in the classroom. The classroom environment has a crucial role to develop students’ creativity. The core of understanding and practice is known as mathematics is originated from the contributions of thinkers throughout the ages and across the world. It gives us a way to understand patterns, quantify relationships, and predict the future. Math helps us realize the world — and we use the world to understand math. Algebra can clarify how promptly water becomes polluted and how many people in a third-world country drinking that water might become offended every year. A study of geometry can explain the science behind architecture throughout the world. Statistics and probability can estimate death tolls from earthquakes, wars, and other disasters around the world. Whether you or not you aspire to become a mathematician, this discipline is a science in its own right and one that has huge essential for everyone. Without math, many technological innovations and inventions would never have been born.

My experience of lockdown as a student has had its ups and downs. Being restricted to our homes with no external social interactions with fellow humans is difficult and goes against human nature. COVID-19 has drastically changed the education landscape for millions of students around the world. The stark consequences of COVID-19 have thrown the education industry for a loop, the sudden switch to digital learning has brought it a few valuable lessons. The future of education has transformed to not only accommodate online classrooms but embrace digital platforms. Whether we were due to take the SAT or any other exams, I think the news was shocking to us all, but it has affected us in different ways. For some this can be a great relief; the lead-up to exams can be stressful and cause a lot of anxiety. I know loads of students who have been staying up all night to revise. I felt a mix of weird feelings. I do not think that it sunk in dully, but I was quite upset about it because I felt -and still feel- frustrated that I will never know what I will get after all of the time and efforts that I put in. I have been struggling with what to do, whether I should continue or not, but no matter where we are in life, we will always be learning, and I believe that we should be able to enjoy and benefit from what we learned. That period was such a strange and trying time for all of us, and it is typically hard when everything you have been preparing for years canceled without warning. Quarantine has changed the lives of almost every person. It was a different experience. I was never into cooking or baking, but I had some time to learn a few more recipes. It would be has been fun coming out of quarantine with extra skills and knowledge by doing online courses. Online courses were good in exchange for a library and school classes. I take plenty of online courses on mitochondria, dynamics, the health effects of climate change, and math essentials on EDX and COURSERA. One of the lessons of 2020 was to bring about our awareness of the aspects we could live without. And the things we could not. A bunch of things that were taken away from us during the lockdown did not bother us. Some of them might not even come back into our lives. While our memories of 2020 may be hard to obtain, with many of them fated to be classified as homogeneous monotony in our minds, what will be remembered are those valuable, rare windows. My family was the most crucial thing in this period, and they can not be compensated. They were my source of support. While it is annoying to face the unknown, I take satisfaction in knowing that we are all facing it together. I know there will be a long road forward, but I also assume that we will occur on the other side powerful and more enhanced. The world will no longer occur as we once knew it, and we will have the chance to reshape it and make it an adequate place for all who inhabit it. Now is not the time for fear; it’s the time to be bold and dream big.
Misha Brahmbhatt Help Your Community Scholarship
Throughout our lives, from childhood to adulthood, the community is a crucial part of everyday existence. Sometimes we do not see or fully understand its influence, and sometimes we may think it is irrelevant. I began volunteering when I was in grade7. I remember that day well when I got into school early and found the school banner written on it: Volunteers are not paid-not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless. At that time, I started to ask myself many questions: Why do I need to volunteer? I have better things to do!. My teacher answered all these questions: she told me that volunteer involves caring, loving, and sharing our time, our heart, and our soul. At first, I started volunteering when I was around 13 performing some volunteer work in places that connected closely to my middle school: taught children English held workshops, and so on. Despite my participation in many school programs, I did not think that this filled my passion for helping others. I volunteered to help at the RESALA CHARITY to save children's life. These were homes that were set up to house a handful of children that were in the care of Child Protective Services. I thought it was a great idea to have these children live in an actual house and not a building that would feel more like a boarding school. I went with a great group of people I met in the association, and we spent the day with these kids. Immediately they touched all of our hearts as they wanted to play outside, draw, they just wanted to have fun!. It was a beautiful sight to see these kids with such uplifting spirits- under circumstances that are not a choice(what child would not rather be with their families?). The influence that I had on the lives of these young kids and their pleasing smiles was priceless. Nothing else could match the spectacular feeling I got from making a difference in the lives of these children. The ecstasy of the children made my volunteer hours a worthwhile experience. Although the assignment completed, my inclination to help others has not faded. During the summer vacation, I decided to make time for one of my biggest passions: animals whether I am walking dogs, feeding cats, or entertaining birds, I feel radiant when I am around animals. Therefore, I decided to volunteer at the SPCA and the Egyptian Society For Mercy To Animals ( ESMA) because of my endless love for animals. By assisting abandoned and lonely animals, I became a more empathetic person, which aided in my daily relationships with both my furry friends and my human companions. Overall, the opportunity granted me a chance to expand my horizons. 2019 was the most effective year for me. This year, I had the opportunity to give back to the community in many ways. I volunteered at 57357 children's cancer hospital, the Egyptian Food Bank, and CISV Egypt. I had the privilege of helping with the Egyptian Food Bank non-profit organization. I chose to volunteer at 57357 childer's cancer hospital because I wanted to become touche with children again and try to Relieve their pain. Community service brings out attributes within me that I never realized existed- challenging me to become more patient and caring and encouraging me to strive towards being a better person. My main goal and dream in college are to be a successful dentist and specialize in prosthodontist. A prosthodontist specializes in treating and handling dental and facial problems, restoring missing tooth and jaw structures.

I am Mahitab Elbohoty, and three words describe me the best- true free spirit. I am seventeen years old. I am also a senior in my high school. I have lived an unstable life and lost most of the time-traveling between the US and Egypt as a middle eastern and us citizen due to my parents' work as doctors. Almost every year in a new school, a different place, and new friends. All the changes that have occurred in my life have made me a better person and pay attention to details, and set plans and goals for my life. Every day of my life is a new beginning, not just the first day of the year. I made this a rule. I regard every day as the inception of a new, better, and happier life. There is no stop to the possibilities when it comes to dreams. I know myself well enough to know that if one thing starts to take over my time and get in the way of achieving other priorities, I will begin to resent it. The feeling of being valuable is a cornerstone of self-esteem. The goals stretch my limits because they are things that I have needed to work on it. In a small part, every aspect of my life motivates me to pursue my dreams. I feel like something called a driving force is that you get from inside of you motivates. For as long as I could remember, I have wanted to be a dentist. That an excellent field of study and work on. Several branches of dentistry have been established. They include general dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral pathology, pediatric dentistry, and endodontics. Due to the success of preventive dentistry in reducing oral incidents, I can see that many people are keeping their teeth longer and realizing the importance of regular dental care services. So that means that the demand for dental care will continue to grow, and more dentists would be needed. This career seems very motivating to me, given the fact that I do not have to worry about whether there are enough jobs or not because people will always need oral services. To reach my goals, I realize that I must pursue an eight-year college education that will begin with the Fall 2021 semester. My main goal and dream in college are to be a successful dentist and specialize in prosthodontist. A prosthodontist is a dentist who has completed dental school plus at least three additional years of advanced training. A prosthodontist specializes in treating and handling dental and facial problems, restoring missing tooth and jaw structures. The first goal I wanted to achieve is to receive my bachelor of science, majoring in pre-dental. My next goal is to attend a top dental school and spend hours as much as I can in shadowing and practicing. Throughout my life, I always tried my hardest to be the best possible student I can be. During my school years, I am good at science and mathematics. I remember my biology teacher always told me, "Biology is a new language." It got me interested because learning a new language goes step by step instead of forgetting chapters that people think that not crucial. I believe studying the human body and how it works help me improve how to fix teeth. In conclusion, dreams are what define us and make us who we are. As we swing around, we find some goals are hard to conquer. However, those who destroy the impossible are those who make a difference in the world. These are the ones who challenge the known and aspire to be great. These people are passionate and raise standards so that others can lead a better life. Just like these people, I am also passionate about my dream of becoming a dentist one day, and I have a great responsibility to take care of someone's health and well-being.

The vastest inspiration in my life is every challenge that comes my way. The challenges keep me awake no matter how difficult it gets at times, much more than anything else. While challenges aim to distract us and make us despair, they can give us belief and inspire us to be better. They convey energy to our lives, after all. Different phases in life come with their challenges. I recently faced considerable challenge fitting in a new environment and adapting to a new home. I have always been a believer in the power of positive thinking. Everything appeared like it was falling out of place, it was going rapidly, and my mind was out of control. I thought about these feelings as I lay on my new bed, in my new room, in this new house, in this new city, staring at how I got to this point. The room smelled like a new carpet and fresh paint. It was devoid of objects but vastly of memories. I remembered the time we got close to moving to the new house. I was so excited until that night when weird thoughts crept in. All things that I did not care about came across as quite a big deal. Maybe you are moving from your hometown to a new city, or moving to another country. Either way, no matter how far you are traveling, you will be saying goodbye to objects that mean a lot to you, memories, or people mean something to you. Every part of the home has a personal remembrance. These beliefs took more than their right. I started from then to create a new and different life. I want to live my life like a person who is happy with what he has. Every day of my life is a new beginning, not just the first day of the year. I made this a rule. In regard every day as the inception of a new and happier life. That was the first step towards living a happy life. The second step was to make sure that every single day was full of experiences. I had to learn how to enjoy each moment and become a reliable source of support for my family. In a few weeks, the new-person status faded as I began to fit in. Life was starting to feel right again. I grew from this experience mentally, and my relationship with my parents became stronger. This event taught me to be more appreciative of all the little things I have and made me realize that life is not going to go the way I want it; we live, and we learn, and while doing this, we grow as a person. Every challenge we successfully face in life reinforces our will, confidence, and ability to overcome future obstacles. That is what always drives me when I meet with obstacles, and I can overcome them and get out of them with strategies and benefits for my life.

The role of adversity is the difficulties or distress that a person experiences. Every distress and individual encounter highlights valuable qualities that he would not otherwise encounter. Choosing a particular career is one of the most crucial decisions that we snatch in our life. To me, one of the most productive and fulfilling career that provides you numerous opportunities to help and support humanity is that of a dentist. Become a dentist is one of my biggest dreams because it is something that I always wanted to be since I was a child. It will enable more to be productive and creative because a dentist does more than extracting the teeth. I can save peoples' teeth through permanent filling, root canal and even adequately take care of their oral health to maintain their teeth in the best state. This career is far more than just making your teeth pretty and clean. "Dentists in private practice manage their own offices. They may supervise other workers such as receptionists, bookkeepers, dental assistants, and dental hygienists. They may order equipment and supplies." That is a quote that I discovered in the high school library that shifted my mindset. This quote shows that Dentists have even more responsibilities than you might assume. In the life of a dentist, every day is a challenge. This career provides a numerous variety. It is promptly changing and a definite expanding profession. Usually, for most diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and hypertension, dentists are the first health professionals to notice signs. Several branches of dentistry have been established. Community engagement is necessary because it is primarily part of a dialogue where organizations and Communities build and sustain cohesive nations. Being part of a shared space, whether physical or virtual, gives people the chance to be inspired, solve problems, share humor, vent their frustrations and share their achievements. People who stay within a community are the ones that agree passionately with its values, and with these shared beliefs, trust, and togetherness, there’s no limit to what they can do for their community. Community engagement creates special bonds with the population being served and increases social awareness and responsibility. It helps you enhance your knowledge, grow from new experiences, and develop better interpersonal communication skills. My contributions to the community are not huge, but I did try to make a difference by helping sick patients in the hospital and contributing to the red cross. The key to a successful life is having the right mindset or the success mindset. Right mindset means having the right attitude, flexibility, adaptability, realistic thinking, right resolve, belief in oneself, knowledge to deal with failure, and eagerness to grow, change and adapt. Success mindset means having all these, plus the willingness to achieve your goals by taking direct responsibility for your personal growth, thinking, and actions. I believe that each day is a new beginning and brings new challenges and opportunities. There is a quote that I discovered in high school that shifted my mindset: "Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny ." This quote made me start looking at life from another perspective. What we think often comes out of our mouths and into someone else's ears. Our words impact how we feel about ourselves, and they can impact how others think and feel. The thoughts and actions we do habitually through time determine our destiny. If I think negative thoughts and I am filled with judgments towards myself and others, my actions will follow my thoughts, and I will get what I focus on. Others know us by our character. It's our stamp of individuality. It's all of our distinctive qualities. If I think positive thoughts and take positive actions toward my goals, my destiny can be one of joyful and uplifting, with moments of gleefulness. I might fall and get a few bruises along the way, but if my habit is to get up one more time than I fall, my destiny will be one of success. People will want to be around me because of my positive thinking. They will want to know how I create so many wonderful things in my life. Because of my abundance and my generous character, I'll freely give the joy and love that percolates in my heart. Thus, by holding positive thoughts, habitually taking positive action, I create a character destined for upliftment.

Music is not just sound, it is its language, and it communicates so much; it is a beautiful thing. The playlist I have accreted reflects songs that I can feel the direct pain or situation they’ve put themselves into. My inspiration song is SOMETHING HUMAN. Sometimes being human means taking a step back from how you expect things to happens, and instead of being the one who makes them happen even if not in the perfect way you wished them to happen, or being angry or happy instead of being indifferent and coldish.
Sander Jennings Spread the Love Scholarship
For many people, the concept of self-love is an overblown theory, and they often ignore its importance. Self-Love is the only thing that keeps us going and makes us less robotic in a world that requires us to work, think and act like we are programmed bots. Comparison is the thief of all joy. This statement may seem cliche, but it holds a lot of power. During the home quarantine during the Coronavirus period, we all began to be attracted to social media such as Instagram and Facebook, which made us compare our lives to others, this caused me discomfort. I logged out of my Instagram in May 2020 and planed on limiting my activity on it. Logging out of social media meant me logging out of everyone else’s life. I was starting to compare my life to others and comparing how I look to other women. Social media is not the only way that a person can put themselves down, also our obstacles. In between all of this, women become overwhelmed and start to limit themselves. I know I do! I found myself comparing all aspects of my life, both internal and external, to a person I had never met. It made me less confident, and it led me down the road of self-destruction. My mind was filled with what I could do and be rather than what I am doing now. I began reading articles about how to reach Self Confidence, and one of the most important phrases that hung with me: Every minute you spend wishing you had someone else's life is a minute spent wasting yours. I learn after this hard time what it means to love yourself wholeheartedly and how important it is to look in the mirror and say to yourself, “I am beautiful.” Thinking positive is not easy! With everything we as women go through already, positive thinking takes a lot of discipline. Your body regenerates itself with new cells creating new thinking and new habits. Practice positive thinking and start doing things that make you feel like you are enough. If you think you can change the world, you probably will be the one to do it. Put your social media to rest and appreciate what is here, right now, in front of you. There is nothing better than maturing and knowing that you are enough. All that you have is what the Creator gave you. Nothing more and nothing less.

A role model is someone we look up to. While we talk about the term role model, each of us has someone on his mind. A role model is a person who inspires you to be like him. The model could be someone from our family, friends, or even a character we did not see, but we hear his life story. The qualities of the model that motivate us to become a better version of ourselves are the values and beliefs they practice and preach. Prophet Muhammed (PBUH), my role model, is a man of truth, integrity, love, selflessness, and compassion. He was an Arabian merchant who was born in the city of Mecca. In the year 610, at the age of 40, he escaped to a desert cave where he experienced mystical visions. Angel Gabriel came to him with messages from Allah. Muhammad returned from the desert with a spiritual mission to transform the society around him. Christianity had become the dominant faith leading up to the birth of Prophet Muhammad. He claimed that he was receiving messages from Allah, such as Jesus and Moses, prophets that once came before him. Prophet Muhammad was the greatest role model for every Muslim person in this world who believes in Allah and the Day of Judgment. The world has seen many scholars, philosophers, and preachers, but none was as great as the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). He infused justice, love, and dignity to whoever came across his path. Prophet Muhammad planned to convert slaves, orphans, women, and the poor, converting people to the fellowship of a new monotheistic faith called Islam. The meaning of Islam is the one who surrenders to God. Islam was built on five pillars that every Muslim is obligated to: Faith in God, prayer five times a day, giving to the poor, pilgrimage to Mecca known as Haj, and fasting in the month of Ramadan. When first hearing about Islam, the Pagan Arabs were tolerant and even curious about the words of this new man who claimed to be the last messenger of God. Muhammad (PBUH) brought masses from darkness to light. He suffered from the worst persecutions and painful torture and sufferings, but he was patient and endured to complete his goal of linking people to the path of goodness. God sent His messengers in every period of history to guide humanity. The world had been waiting for the last Prophet for centuries. This long wait ended with the prophethood of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). He was sent as the last Prophet. His guidance was declared sufficient for all till the end of this world. The Prophet (PBUH) said, “If Hazrat Musa had been alive he had no option but to follow me.” Muhammad (PBUH) was an honest man in his business dealings, and eventually, people started to call him “Al-Ameen” (The Trustworthy). If anyone wanted to entrust money to someone, the people would tell him, “You should only go to Al-Ameen.” The Prophet (PBUH) has touched my heart like no other personality. I have had a life-long association with his life, words, actions, and behavior; however, not a day in my life passes without my love for the Prophet increasing. I marvel at the charisma he possessed whereby hundreds of men and women would only refer to him as their dear, and gave the impression that no matter how eloquent they were, their words could not fully describe his magnanimity, nobility of character, and benevolence. The Prophet's spiritual retreats and his solitary moments of prayers and meditations as he slipped out of his bed at night to be alone with the Alone, and then when distracted by his wife, saying to her, "let me be alone with my Lord." The spectacle of his tears often soaking his blanket can never be erased from my mind. His constancy in celebrating God's remembrance led his beloved wife to remark, "the Prophet was always celebrating the remembrance of God." The Holy Prophet set the best example in leadership. He endured along with others every toil and labor that he asked others to endure and endured better than others; there was no trouble which others might have experienced, and he did not. He was among those who dug the trench and endured hunger and other afflictions just as the common Muslims did. He did not leave the battlefront even for a moment during the siege nor retreated an inch. The Prophet’s own family had also been exposed to danger as the families of other Muslims. He did not make any special arrangements for his own and his family’s protection. He was always in the forefront to offer maximum sacrifices for the great objectives for which he was constantly asking others to make sacrifices. The Prophet's life is a model for him who remembers Allah much and consistently and not occasionally, just by chance. His life is a model for the person who is hopeful of God's grace and His favor. I hope to possesses the characteristics of the prophet. He taught me commitment and constant pursuit without stopping whatever the obstacles I would encounter in my life.

I have been struggling to know what to do, whether I should continue or not, but no matter where we are in life, we will always be learning, and I believe that we should be able to enjoy and benefit from what we learn. That period was such a strange and trying time for all of us, and it is hard when everything you have been preparing for years is canceled. Quarantine has changed the lives of almost every person. It was a different experience. It would be has been fun coming out of quarantine with extra skills and knowledge by doing extra online courses. I take online courses on many topics: mitochondria, dynamics, the health effects of climate change, and math essentials on EDX and COURSERA. Studying from home is both a blessing and a curse you can be very comfortable at home, but sometimes it can be exhausting to sit in front of a computer screen as much as it is demotivating to get your work done.

Legacy is about life and living. It is about learning from the past, living in the present, and building for the future. Legacy is a concept that many people do not think about on a day-to-day basis. It comes at us from the past, affects our present, and is transmitted into our future to affect others. Legacy is not only what we do but also what we do not do. The basis for a legacy is that it is an important item or idea transmitted from one person to another over time. I believe that my legacy and some things I do for myself have positive effects on others. Legacies are alive and effective and may be created, developed, changed into something new, or even destroyed. When I think about legacy, I often compare myself to my father. He is a sensitive person who understands in front of him from his eyes and everyone who meets him loves and praises him constantly, and he is a patient and worthy person in his work as a doctor and at the same time teaches me good qualities. I want to be remembered for being trustworthy. To me, that is one of the most crucial qualities in a friendship. In high school, I feel that finding a truly loyal friend is rare. I've had several friends that have gone behind my back and said hostile things or done things to diminish the friendship I had with them. It has always been a deal-breaker for me. Because of that reason, I have always held the faiths of honesty and loyal in my heart and promised myself that, no matter how difficult it was, I would always keep those traits present and, hopefully, in turn, be remembered for it. I want everyone to remember me for being reliable, honest, and delightful. One of my biggest missions amongst my friends and people in my life is to illuminate their day and make them feel good: it's from a simple appreciation, pep talk, or just something cheerful or inspiring I said to them. I have always been told that I have a gift for making people smile, which feels incredible to hear. For a person to become known in his life and after him with honesty is the best thing. It is one of the characteristics of Muhammad(PBUH). Muhammad (PBUH) was an honest man in his business dealings, and eventually, people started to call him “Al-Ameen” (The Trustworthy). If anyone wanted to entrust money to someone, the people would tell him, “You should only go to Al-Ameen.” A legacy is not only about leaving what you earned but also what you learned. There are different kinds of valuable legacies, but that depends on many questions that guide a person whether it is beneficial or not. What is important to you? What are your values? How do you want your life to touch others? What would make you proud? If you had to do one thing to improve your world, what would your contribution be? How can you leave your mark on whatever you do?. Your words become the building blocks of your legacy. Knowing what is important, what drives you, and how you want to be remembered creates great clarity in goals. I want my story to be a story of a girl who left a positive imprint in life. I like to be remembered as the girl who could make anyone feel better about themself. When people remember me and smile, then I know that I made a nice imprint in their lives and made a successful life mission.

Everything appeared like it was falling out of place, it was going too rapidly, and my mind was out of control. I thought about these feelings as I laid on my new bed, in my new room, in this new house, in this new city, gaping how I got to this point. The room smelled like a new carpet and fresh paint. It was relatively devoid of objects but greatly of memories. I remembered the time we got close to moving to the new house. I was so excited until that night when weird thoughts crept in. All of those things that I did not care about seemed like a big deal. Maybe you are moving from your hometown to a new city, or moving to another country. Either way, no matter how far you are traveling, you will be saying goodbye to things, memories, and people who mean a lot to you. Every part of the home has a personal remembrance. I knew that we moved to a new place in search of a better life. But it is completely normal to feel upset after moving. I felt lonely as I missed my friends and relatives, my mom was busy with her new job as a doctor, and my father was traveling at the time. These beliefs took more than their right. I started from then to create a new and different life. Every day of my life is a new beginning, not just the first day of the year. I made this a rule. In regard every day as the inception of a new, better, and happier life. At the same time, I became open to new ideas and opportunities. While wanting to be a reliable form of support for my family and friends is a great goal, what if I could offer even more?. What if by finding out who I am, following my dreams, and making the most of my life. What if I was not only someone my friends and family could rely on. I have learned the only way to deal with other people is to change what's within myself first. The one way to approach the issue is to change how you act and view other people. Since mid-March, authorities began to impose severe restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic. Schools are closed, we are confined to our homes, the future feels uncertain. Therefore, education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise in e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely. Remote learning was a good solution, but sometimes I lack access to the internet. Many of the challenges to distance learning amid the COVID-19 outbreak are unavoidable, but with some strategies, making a schedule and stick to it -using the free resources of Khan Academy, and making a study routine- can help me keep learning during this period. While the many cancellations of tests and closures may be beneficial for our physical health, they can place a strain on our plans. I take advantage of this time in reading new books and take online courses. My mother was considered in an essential work during this time as a doctor. I tried as much as I can to help her at home: making food, cleaning, and studying for my small brother. Due to this pandemic, I could not see my father for more than five months because he was locked down in another country, but social communications helped me stay in touch. The biggest lesson for me is understanding the value of time. During these last months, I made more use of my time than in the past year.
