I am a future veterinarian (LSU DVM Class of 2030) with a foundation in Zoology, diagnostic pathology, and multicultural community outreach. I believe that effective veterinary medicine requires both uncompromising scientific rigor and a deep understanding of the human animal bond. My clinical and laboratory background includes hands on work as a Necropsy Student Assistant at Colorado State University, where I apply basic necropsy techniques alongside veterinary pathologists. This work, combined with my experience in small animal clinics and large animal sanctuaries, has given me a comprehensive understanding of animal health from the microscopic level to daily behavioral care. I am also a passionate advocate for accessible science and public health. I recently collaborated with engineering and business students to win 3rd place at the Hack4Health hackathon for a platform designed to improve pet vaccination accessibility. Additionally, my university honors thesis involved translating complex conservation science into a culturally accessible format. Fluent in Japanese and English, I am dedicated to breaking down communication barriers in the veterinary field. My ultimate goal is to integrate preventive care, veterinary dentistry, and emergency disaster response to deliver high quality medical care to under resourced communities.
