I plan on pursuing nursing. I believe I was meant to care for people in a nurturing and fulfilling way in a structured environment. I have experience with childcare and health related areas. I am currently a senior in high school and a running start student in my second year of college at Eastern Washington University. I will graduate with an Associates Degree equivalent. After high school, I plan on continuing my college journey and studies to obtain my Registered Nursing Degree/ Bachelor of Science in Nursing hopefully by the time I am 20 years old. Once I have my Registered Nursing degree and pass the NCLEX-RN exam, I plan on working in hospitals as a Registered Nurse. I plan on building my way up by gaining clinical experience and hands on experience in health care settings like hospitals and clinics to hopefully become a NICU nurse or travel nurse to see the world and meet new people. My baby sister (12 year age gap) was a NICU baby (3 months premature) and she is my inspiration for becoming a NICU nurse. She is the definition of resilient. She is the strongest and smartest person I know. Because of her, helping people in need, especially children, is my passion. Eventually, I would most likely consider furthering my education in other nursing specialties like becoming Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in pediatrics. I will focus on delivering compassionate care of the highest quality for my patients while advocating for their healthcare needs. Healthcare professionals have the opportunity to make a significant difference in peoples lives and the ability to contribute to society in many meaningful ways. The field provides a sense of fulfillment and purpose and offers a wide range of opportunities. The recent ongoing demand for healthcare professionals provides job security.
