My name is Madison Hightower, I am 17 years old. I am a senior at Peaster High School as well as a sophomore at Weatherford College. I will graduate high school in December. At Peaster I am in NHS, and at Weatherford College I am in NSLS. As well as I am a part of the dean's list at Weatherford College. My dream is to be a lawyer by the time I am 24 and be able to be a voice for people who don't feel that they have one. I am a driven young lady, who strives to succeed. My parents taught me that I am not entitled in life, which in return pushes me to work hard towards everything I do. In my free time I coach volleyball for young athletes at Game On in Fort Worth, Texas. I feel that being able to help young athletes at an early age helps me to make an impact on their lives, and hopefully teach them to love and be passionate at everything they do.

My parents taught me that I am not entitled in life, which in return pushes me to work hard towards everything I do. My mother was raised in an abusive home with four siblings. My mother was the only one who broke that violent pattern. Even today her siblings all suffer from some sort of addiction and each one has a criminal record due to childhood abuse. My mother ran away from home when she was 17 years old with her clothes in a trash bag and she never looked back. In small towns people tend to look the other way when it comes to family violence because no one wants to get involved. I am blessed to have such a strong mother who loves me enough to have shared her stories and she has shown me first-hand how a bad situation can hurt kids. My dream is to be a lawyer by the time I am 24 so I can be that voice for the people who don't feel that they have one. I do my best to give back to young girls by coaching volleyball at Game On in Fort Worth, Texas. I feel that being able to help young athletes at an early age helps me to make an impact on their lives, and hopefully teach them to love and be passionate at everything they do. I have been taught that we are only here on this earth for a short time and we need to love as many people as we can and to show kindness along the way.
