My name is Madisen Fry, I am 20 years old and I am from Chardon, Ohio. Currently, I am at Lakeland Community College, majoring in radiologic technology. I will start the two-year program this coming fall. This summer I completed my Associate of Science degree with a emphasis on health care. I am also dually enrolled in Youngstown State University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health. Growing up, I always wanted to be in healthcare. As a child, when someone was not feeling well or injured, I wanted to make sure they were okay. I also learned how to use technology efficiently, which sparked another interest in technology. This lead me to choose the field of radiology where I could combine my two passions. As I got older, I learned some skills that will not only help me succeed in my life, but also in my future career as a healthcare provider. I have learned how to take direction, communicate clearly, become more responsible for myself and others, and how to give back to the community I was born and raised in. Right now, I work part-time at Rite-Aid, and this job taught me how to give back to my community such as helping customers, doing tasks that needed to be done, and enjoying my time with my fellow coworkers. Towards the end of my senior year of high school, I enrolled and was accepted into Lakeland Community College. It was a very exciting time for me because during the pandemic, everything was uncertain and difficult, so when I found out I was accepted into Lakeland, it was like everything changed in a positive way for me. Last year, I decided to enroll in Youngstown State University because I wanted to further my education and develop even more skills. I chose to major in Allied Health because this program will help me acquire and develop these skills, which will help me in the future as a healthcare provider. Once I graduate from both colleges, I will work in the radiology field at a clinic because many clinics are low on people in my field and once I complete the radiology program, I will go to one of the clinics and work there. While I am excited about the future, I am concerned about paying my tuition and with this scholarship, I will feel less of a burden because I have the money I need to pay for my tuition and anything else that I need in order to succeed and work towards my future. I would like to thank you for your time and consideration reading this essay and considering me and my future. It means a lot to me that you believe in my education and journey.

Many people have touched my life and helped me on my journey to realize my dream of becoming a compassionate healthcare professional. Currently I have wonderful professors that are helpful and supportive. Growing up I had friends, family and teachers all have been little pieces that have come together to help me to achieve different goals along the way. I would have to say that the two people that have been most supportive are my parents. My parents have always believed in me and helped to guide me to follow and reach my goals. We have been through the hardship of losing our home in a fire. The loss of my grandfather shortly after and then the pandemic. They helped me to stay positive and to look forward to the future. They have helped pay for school. We researched careers and colleges to find the best path to take to make my future a reality. I also blessed with a twin brother and he has given me laughter and a close personal bond, it's a twin thing that is unexplainable. I have always dreamed of being in the healthcare industry as long as I can remember. I also love technology which is why I chose to go into Radiology Technology it is the perfect combination of my passions. I am currently enrolled at Lakeland Community College this semester I complete my Associate of Science degree. In the fall I begin my degree in Radiology Technology. My name is Madisen Fry and I would first like to thank you for believing in my education and helping me to reach my dream of becoming a compassionate healthcare professional. I have overcome many obstacles to follow that dream. Going into my freshmen year of high school my family lost our home in a fire and later my grandfather passed away after a long battle with renal failure. In my junior and senior year, the pandemic hit and just before I graduated both my grandmothers passed away from heart issues. I knew I must keep going and working towards my dream. I knew now more than ever I wanted to be part of a team that brought treatment and cures to people. The most important thing I wanted to do is treat my patients with care and compassion like they are a member of my own family. I am proud of what I have accomplished so far. I love everything I am learning. I am excited about the future. I believe I am a good candidate for this scholarship because I am a hard worker. I am currently pursuing a Radiologic Technology Associate degree and as of fall 2023, I will have completed my Associate of Science degree at Lakeland Community College. I am also enrolled at Youngstown State University where I am pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Allied Health which will solidify my education and further my career in the healthcare industry. I have always wanted to be in the healthcare industry as long as I can remember. I wanted to take care of others that needed help. When I was a senior in high school, I was accepted to Lakeland Community College. From then on, I took many classes that were in my field of study. These classes helped me understand how the human body works and how development changes as life goes on. Because of these classes, I have a better understanding of myself and the world around me. Now that I am going to Youngstown, I am ready to learn more and get my bachelor's degree in Allied Health. My career plans are to finish both colleges within the same time frame and find employment as a Radiographer. I want to work at a clinic because I want to give individualized care. I will work hard and make sure my patients are cared for and make them feel comfortable. In the harsh world we live in, it is good to spread positivity, even when things are very bad. This will be beneficial for patients in a stressful situations because they will be reassured. No matter where I work, I want to give back to the community that I am living or working in. I would like to thank you for believing in my education and for helping me to reaching my goals. Thank you for taking the time time getting to know me and taking an interest in my future.

I have always wanted to be in the healthcare industry. When I was a little girl my grandmother bought me a pink doctor's bag and I was hooked. I never wanted to be anything else. As I grew up, I first watched my grandfather struggle with kidney failure. In my senior year of High School, both of my grandmothers passed from heart issues within three months of each other. I was now more than ever determined to follow my passion. I then decided to combine my two passions health care and technology and go into Radiology. I want to be able to help find cures and preventative treatments, so that people can be healthier and with their loved ones. I am currently dually enrolled at Lakeland Community College and Youngstown State University. I am pursuing an Associate of Science and an Associate of Radiology Technology at Lakeland and I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Allied Health Care at Youngstown State University. I have taken additional courses in Psychology and Genetics to round out all aspects of my education. My goal is to be able to treat my patients physically as well as care for them compassionately as if they are a member of my family. In order to pay for tuition and books. I am currently employed at Rite Aid Pharmacy as a cashier. I love working with customers and caring for their needs. I also work with a great group of co-workers with whom, I have learned great teamwork skills. I know this will definitely help in my future career plans. I am especially lucky to have a family that supports me in my education and goals. My parents have always answered all my questions in a factual manner when it came to explaining my grandparent's issues. I am also proud to say that I am a twin and I have the world's best cheering section in my brother. I would like to thank you for allowing me to apply for this scholarship. It will help ease the financial burden on myself and my family. There are many costs associated with school tuition, books, fees, uniforms, travel and technology. I kept working toward my dream and I am proud of what I have accomplished so far.  I love everything I am learning.  I want more than ever to become part of a team that finds treatments and cures.  I am going to treat all my patients with love and compassion. I believe I am a good candidate for this scholarship because I am a hard worker. I am pursuing a Radiologic Technology Associate degree and an Associate of Science degree at Lakeland Community College. I am also currently dually enrolled at Youngstown State University where I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Allied Health which will solidify my education and further my career in the healthcare industry. I am always driven to learn and I never give up on my studies. This scholarship would not only help me pay for my tuition but also books, fees, and uniforms amongst other things. My career plans are to finish both colleges within the same time frame. I would like to work at a clinic because I want to give individualized care. I will work hard and make sure my patients are cared for. I will give them the best care possible and make them feel comfortable. In the harsh world we live in, it is good to spread positivity, even when things are very bad. This will be beneficial for patients in stressful situations because they will feel reassured. No matter where I work, I want to give back to the community where I am living or working in. I would like to thank you for believing in my education and for helping me to reach my goals. It means so much to me.  When you support my education you are contributing to saving lives and helping find cures. You are helping young and old. I promise to work hard and make a difference in all the lives I touch. I am excited that as a woman I can study, biology, chemistry, and Genetics. I think we are all created equally. We should be allowed to pursue any dream that we choose. Everyone brings a unique set of abilities to the table. We as a people should embrace those abilities. We should work together not separate on sex, race or creed. I think college should be made more affordable, so everyone has the chance to go without going into debt. I also believe we should embrace having careers that do not require degrees but offer a fair wage. Some people are held back because they don't have a degree, but they are doing the same job as someone who does and they make much less. That is not rating people on their true abilities. This is something that must be addressed in workplaces. I think we need to start addressing people as a whole . Abilities must come first. Equally important is the right for education and opportunities. Most important is equally paying for abilities. Thank you for reading this essay. Thank you again for your consideration. I appreciate the opportunity to apply and more importantly telling you about myself, my story, my skills and my thoughts.

I am pursuing my dream of becoming a compassionate healthcare professional.  I have overcome many obstacles to follow that dream. Going into my freshman year of high school my family lost our home to a fire. During my sophomore, my grandfather passed away. In my junior and senior years, the pandemic hit. Before I graduated both my grandmothers passed away. Throughout everything, I knew what I wanted to be. I kept working toward my dream and I am proud of what I have accomplished so far.  I love everything I am learning.  I am excited about the future.  I am excited about the courses I have taken so far, currently I am taking Genetics. Radiology and Genetics are in the cutting edge in finding new cures and medical break throughs. I have always wanted to be a healthcare professional. When I was little and my grandmother bought me a pink doctor's bag.  It was the best present ever.  As I grew up I watched my grandfather struggle with health issues.  Whenever I asked questions my mom would explain to me more scientifically. She allowed me to ask questions and answered honestly. I wanted more than ever to become part of a team that found treatments and cures.  I am going to treat all my patients with love and compassion. I believe I am a good candidate for this scholarship because I am a hard worker. I am always driven to learn and I never give up on my studies. This scholarship would not only help me pay for my tuition but also books, fees, and uniforms amongst other things. My career plans are to finish both colleges within the same time frame, so that way, I do not have to take a year and a half to study for my Bachelor's degree. I want to start my career as a Radiographer right away. I want to work at a clinic because I want to give individualized care. I will work hard and make sure my patients are cared for. I will give them the best care possible and make them feel comfortable. In the harsh world we live in, it is good to spread positivity, even when things are very bad. Book Lovers Scholarship
I have always loved to read. I started reading at three and loved snuggling up with a pile of books. When I was in second grade I was reading a book called, "A Bad Case of Stripes ". We were supposed to start math , but I couldn't put down my book. I hid behind my desk and kept reading. Unfortunately the teacher caught me and she called my mom. When my mom picked me up from school she had bought me the book. I was so excited because I could read it over and over. What I liked then and what I like now was what the book was about. It was about a girl who was afraid to tell people she liked lima beans, and the more she denied it the more Stripes she got. When she finally was brave and not afraid to say what she liked the Stripes went away. I think this is a very important lesson to be confident in yourself and be passionate about your individual differences it is what makes us individuals. The message in this book is simple, but I think it pertains to people of all ages. People are like snowflakes no two are the same, we should embrace this ideal. I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. I would especially like to thank you for believing in my education. This scholarship would help pay for tuition and books and would help ease the financial burden of paying for college.

Fast forward to my senior  year, the world was dealing with its second year in a pandemic.  Studying was the only thing that was normal.  I told my grandmother I  had applied to college for health care associates. My professors  are phenomenal, they really care and are very helpful.  I decided to  go into Radiology Technology. It was a combination of my passions:  health care and technology. Olivia Woods Memorial Scholarship
We are always growing and evolving spiritually and professionally. Numerous books have shaped me. To me that is the joy of reading. There is always a book that is pivotal to that precise point in time. The first time that I was in trouble at school was in the second grade. I was reading a book called, A Bad Case of Stripes. I didn't want to stop reading, so when we started the next subject I put up my desk lid and continued to read. That resulted in a call home to my mom. She suggested that the teacher either allow me to read at recess or if I was finished with my other work early. She explained how much I loved to read. By the end of second grade my second grade reading log had 500 books at a sixth grade level and that did not include magazines and favorites I loved. With reading you gain understanding of a wide variety of topics. Sometimes you need a comedy to lighten your mood. Then there are times you need to find out how something works. Books open up doors for everyone. I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. My dream is to be a health care worker. I also love technology which lead me to choose a career as a Radiographer. I am currently enrolled at Lakeland Community College and I am pursuing an Associate of Science and an Associate of Radiology Technology degree. I plan to continue my education by pursuing a Bachelors degree in Allied Health Care at Youngstown State University. My dream is to work with a team to find cures and treatments for my patients. I plan to treat all my patients with love and compassion like they are my own family members. I would first like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. Ms. Susy’s Disney Character Scholarship
Who doesn't love Disney! All the characters are relatable in some way to each of us at some point in our lives. When I watch movies now as young adult I see so much more than when I was younger. At this point in my life I most identify with the movie Princess and the frog. Tiana had dreams of opening her own restaurant. She was working hard and saving to make her dream a reality. She would come home exhausted and flop down on the bed to sleep. She kept telling her self you just have to work a little harder. Like Tiana I have a dream. I have always wanted to be a health care worker. I want to be part of team to help find cures and treatments. I want to treat my patients with love and compassion like they are my own family. I also love technology which lead me to choose a career as a Radiographer. I am currently enrolled at Lakeland Community College and I am pursuing an Associate of Science and an Associate of Radiology Technology degree. I plan to continue my education at Youngstown State University and pursue a Bachelors degree in Allied Health Care. I currently work at Walmart to help pay for my tuition. Like Tiana I am working hard to make my dream a reality. I understand her drive and also her exhaustion. In her journey she met friends along the way. I too have met coworkers that have become mentors. My classmates and professors have opened new doors and I am so excited by everything I am learning. I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. It will help ease the financial burden on myself and my family. It will help pay for tuition, books, fees and uniforms amongst other things. I would especially like to thank you for believing in my education and like Jiminy Cricket says, "when you wish upon a star your me dreams come true." Thank you for helping my dream come true.

Okay, so she's right, please don't let her know I said so, she well never let me live this down. This statement definitely applies if you are going to college and working. Alexis Potts Passion Project Scholarship
Music is my passion. It speaks its language to people on so many different levels. It takes you through all of life ups, downs and special moments. I attended Chardon High School and I was a member of the symphonic band. I could come to school in a bad mood and then we would begin to play and pretty soon the music transformed my mood. The people in band were more creative, compassionate and good natured. I believe music helped create a special bond between us. In band I learned so many life lessons. You have to practice and study your part. The band is only as good as its worst player. When I was a freshman the senior players helped and taught me. I passed on this tradition when I was a senior. Listening to the conductor and following instructions was vitally important. When all these things were done in unison the performance was magnificent. Now I use all those lessons I learned in my life. In college I study my classes that will help in my future endeavors. I work with other students in labs and discussions opening doors to new ideas. My efforts are rewarded by my performance in my grades. I also use the lessons I learned in band at my current job. I am an Associate at Walmart. I am easily able to approach customers. I am able to work with my coworkers. I listen to my boss. So that as a team we successfully accomplish our work, make our customers happy. Most importantly I do a good job which makes me feel happy. Currently, I am pursuing an Associate of Science degree and I am also pursuing a Associate degree in Radiology Technology at Lakeland Community College. Robert F. Lawson Fund for Careers that Care
I have always wanted to help take care of people. When my grandmother bought me my first doctor's bag I knew that is what I wanted to do. My other love is technology. Technology has always been a knack for many people in my generation I am no exception, and in the healthcare industry, it is no different. Whether it is a simple heart monitor or a complicated MRI, technology and healthcare can really go hand in hand. We are now living in a world where technology is more detailed and faster. This will help diagnose and explain to patients what is going on in their body. I would like to work in a clinic where technology is cutting edge. This will help because when you are a patient, you want direct answers, not waiting for another doctor's visit after the examination is done. Instead, it should be quick and easy. It should lead to a cure, no deaths and a livable life. These skills, qualities and advancements will help everyone out in this coming future. Patient's lives come first and we will be more than prepared to face anything that happens to anybody. Bold Generosity Matters Scholarship
I believe compassion is the truest form of generosity. Sometimes people need you to listen to them or just let them know they are loved and appreciated . Giving freely of yourself to help another human being is one of the most rewarding experiences in life. Generosity is understanding people. Sometimes just saying that everything will be alright or maybe helping someone put groceries in there car. Those random acts of kindness are the most generous. This scholarship shows generosity understanding the needs of students to help pay for school so they can concentrate on their studies. This winter I was working it very cold and snowing heavily. A disabled customer was headed out of the store. I stopped him told him to bring his car to the doors and I would put his groceries in his trunk. When he pulled around after I loaded his groceries he got out of his car and thanked me. I didn't have a coat on. I was covered with snow, he handed me some money and told me to go buy some hot chocolate. I think this shows generosity is reflective what you give is what you receive. I want show my generosity, by giving back to my community. I am currently enrolled at Lakeland Community College and I am pursuing an Associate of Radiology Technology degree. I plan on continuing my education by pursuing a Bachelors degree in Allied Health Care. I want to treat my patients with love and compassion like they are my own family. I would like to thank you for believing in my education and for giving me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. This scholarship will help ease the financial burden of paying for school. So that I can accomplish my dreams of caring for people.
    Bold Learning and Changing Scholarship
The most significant thing I have learned is how to be resilient. The pandemic brought changes to every facet of my life. In an instant I was going to school in my home on a computer. My parents were working from home. There were no activities dances, concerts and sports events. I missed seeing my grandparents that passed away. In order to resume some kind of normalcy we social distanced and wore mask. Those are some of the bad things, but there were good things. Seeing more neighbors walking down the street. Planting a garden and spending time with family. Doing my school work outdoors and the best baking all the time. Things I normally don't take time to do. My grandfather always said, "if there is a will there's a way. " This is now what I base my life on also, he is in heaven but his words still help me on this earth.

My dream has always been to become a health care worker ever since I was little and received a doctors bag for Christmas. What really sealed the deal was when I had to get stitches at three years old and they gave me a nurses hat. I knew I wanted to help people feel better. Health care has dramatically improved for the world. This is due to the vaccines developed for COVID-19. New types of treatments and higher survival rates became more affordable and successful for many people. However, with COVID-19, our health and our well-being is even more important than ever. People that have preexisting conditions are more at risk for death. Now that vaccines exist, we can live our normal lives. This is all due to scientists working and sharing information like they have never done before. This vaccine and how it works will be key in other cures. These skills, qualities and advancements will help everyone in the coming future. Patient's lives come first and we will be more than prepared to face anything that happens to anybody. As a future health care worker I am excited for the advancement to help cure people. I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. Bold Reflection Scholarship
Technology has always been a knack for many people in my generation, and in the healthcare industry, it is no different. Whether it is a simple heart monitor or a complicated MRI, technology and healthcare can really go hand in hand. We are now going into a world where technology is more detailed and faster. This will help diagnose and get answers quickly. It would lead to a cure, no deaths and a livable life. Many people have very bad diseases or have life-threatening injuries they are going through that keep getting worse. They live in small towns and some of them cannot afford healthcare. It would be better if more cancer treatment and other long-term care centers were built in every city. They should give every individual, rich or poor, equal treatments and appointments. It would give them the quick care they need and it would be beneficial to the patient who needs help the most. Also, I believe it would be much better if they also have centers for people that need transplants and amputations instead of going to the hospital to get the procedure done. If possible, doctors can also visit homes and give good quality care for those who can not move as well as others at the same price given to other patients. They have the right to have access to any way they want to be cared for. Whether at a clinic, a doctor's office, or in the comfort of their own home, they will get equal care as they would in a hospital. These skills, qualities and advancements will help everyone out in this coming future. That is why I am passionate about studying health care. I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship.
    Bold Encouraging Others Scholarship
There is no one as close to me as my twin brother. We do not have to say one word and we know what the one is thinking or feeling. I listen when he just needs to talk. Whether it is a simple X-ray or a complicated MRI, technology and healthcare really go hand in hand. We are now going into a world where technology is more detailed and faster. This will help diagnose and explain to patients what is going on in their body. I would like to work in a clinic where technology is state of the art. This will help because when you are a patient, you want direct answers, not waiting for another doctor's visit after the examination is done. Instead, it should be quick and easy. It can lead to a cure, no deaths and a livable life. I have watched my late grandparents going to doctors appointments very far from home. I want to be able to take care of the small town people that need help near their homes. Many people have bad diseases or have life-threatening injuries they are going through. They can start developing new life-threatening problems that can be deadly. Many people live in small towns or suburbs, and some of them cannot afford healthcare. Healthcare needs become affordable. I believe patients are paying for their medical care, but more importantly for understanding and compassion in taking care of them, knowing someone deeply cares is there for them. You are giving that person and their family a chance at living life and making memories. There is a great need for for state of the art facilities in small communities. I would like to work at a clinic in a small community taking care of my friends and neighbors, so that I can give back to the community in which I live. Personally, I learned about health care watching my grandparents go through terminal illness. They not only struggled with their illnesses. They struggled with the many different doctors, hospitals, and insurance problems. They were very ill and had to be driven long distances for treatments. I think clinics need to be in all small towns. I think there should be mobile health care units. So that doctor's could take care of people in their homes. Then people could recuperate in the comfort of their own home with the people they love. This would help people cure faster and more comfortably. I don't think insurance should limit therapy or nurses visits, this should be done by need. How this scholarship is going to help me. In order to reach my goals I need to concentrate on my studies. My personal story is not being able to visit both of my grandmother's and then having them both pass away. This all happened while I was in my junior and senior year. Not being able to go to school have prom or graduation. These are milestones and memories you can't replace. My grandmother taught me many things, and one of the most important things was with optimism you can solve any problem and deal with any situation. Currently I am pursuing an Associate of Radiology Technology degree and I will continue with a Bachelors degree in Allied Health. I kept working towards this goal as I make steps accomplishing I feel happier and stronger. I know I have two angels in heaven cheering me on and I know how proud they are. So they can be with all their loved ones. From infants to senior citizens I will make them feel like they are my own family as I care for them. I think it would be good if any person in any medical field knows the importance of psychology and sociology because we can have a better understanding of where our patients come from and why they act in certain ways, whether they lack confidence or deal with negativity from others or themselves. That way we can find ways to make them feel better about their body, what they need to do to take care of it, and help them out any way we can. We are not therapists or psychiatrists, but we understand people a lot better this way. Bold Longevity Scholarship
To live a long and healthy comes down to one word "balance". It seems very simple, but we all know in our hectic world that you must be mindful to keep your life balanced. For myself I need the following food, rest, work and of course love and laughter. Sounds simple but when life pulls you in so many directions it definitely isn't. I think one good thing covid19 taught us was simple things matter. People were out in their yards more. They spent more family time together. You also realize not to take anything or anyone for granted. The world changed so quickly. But thankfully I kept my balance. This might not be the secret to a long life, but I believe it is the secret to the best life can be. I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship and for believing in my education.

I was blessed being born with my best friend. He is my twin brother. There is no person that understands who I am like him. We know all our secrets, dreams and jokes. We don't have to speak and the other knows the others thoughts. I am not saying we don't disagree, but we always make up. I believe the most important part of our friendship is that we always encourage each other. Although sometimes this encouragement landed us in trouble, just kidding. Most of the time I know he will be cheering me on. We both have separate friendships. The nothing as deep as we share. A friend will hurt when you hurt. A friend will give you tough love when you need it. Most importantly a friend will listen. I was so lucky to be born with a friend that has all of that. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. Thank you for believing in my education and being a friend.
    Bold Self-Care Scholarship
Self care is very important to me, between work, school and friends and family I need to recharge. Somethings I do to relax are prayer, sitting down watching a movie with a big bowl of popcorn or just listening to some music. I learned about Self care in high school psychology. I believe going into the medical field you need to understand self care not only for yourself but also your patients. I think it would be good if any person in any medical field can understand the importance of psychology and sociology because we can have a better understanding of where our patients come from and why they act in certain ways, whether they lack confidence or deal with negativity from others or themselves. That way we can find ways to make them feel better about their body, what they need to do to take care of it, and help them out any way we can. We are not therapists or psychiatrists, but we understand people a lot better this way. It can help the world become a better place because right now, we need someone to help us out to feel better. So play some music, take a walk, do some yoga whatever makes you relax. When you do this world seems to be a better place. Thank you for the opportunity to receive this scholarship and I will look forward to hearing from you.
    Bold Growth Mindset Scholarship
Growth mindset was stressed daily in my high school. We read books, had discussions. It was something our principal talked about often. In my junior year covid19 hit. It turned the world upside down. You couldn't go to school, see friends, have activities. We pulled together as a community and I realized how important my growth mindset was going to be. When we needed to learned from home we adjusted and found out things about our teachers and friends. When we couldn't have dances together we had them over social media. I learned that no matter what the circumstances you could find ways to adjust. I believe that is the most important lesson anyone can learn. As my grandfather always said, "if there is a will there's a way. " That is what I truly believe. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to receive this scholarship. Helping students achieve their dreams is truly an honorable cause.
    Bold Patience Matters Scholarship
Patience is a virtue that I do not have. Admitting that is important because knowing who I am allows me to use it to an advantage. I am not impatient I am passionate. It helps me to pursue my dreams. I am pursuing an Associate of Science degree as well as an Associate of Radiology and a Bachelors in Allied Health. These are large goals and will take passion and drive. That describes me. I have lived through a pandemic. Lost family members. I did not lose my passion for learning. I have dreamed of being in the medical field since I was little. My grandparents bought me my first toy medical bag. They were so proud when I told I was going to pursue my passion. I know they are in heaven watching me and cheering me on. Especially my grandmother who was just as impatient as I am. She told me how to use my impatients for good. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. The money would be much appreciated and I give my word I will become the most compassionate healthcare person that any has met.
    I Am Third Scholarship
My goal in life is to care for and cure people. This is my passion. I also love technology which lead me to choose to become a Radiographer and pursue a Bachelors in Allied Health. I have lost my grandparents to diseases that could have been prevented and for their memory I am dedicated to help others. My grandparents were so proud that I had chosen the medical field. Care has dramatically improved over the years. New types of treatments and higher survival rates have become affordable and successful for many people. However, with COVID-19, our health and our well-being are more important than ever. People that have preexisting conditions are more at risk for death. Now that vaccines exist, we can live our normal lives, but others are still suffering with many life-threatening diseases. As a future health care worker, I have many ideas that will help change the way we view health care and how to make it affordable and better for those who struggle with finances and their overall health. These can help change the world we live in and make it better than ever. Technology has always been a knack for many people in my generation, and in the healthcare industry, it is no different. Whether it is a simple heart monitor or a complicated MRI, technology and healthcare can really go hand in hand. We are now going into a world where technology is more detailed and faster. This will help diagnose and explain to patients what is going on in their body. I would like to work in a clinic where technology is state of the art. This will help because when you are a patient, then you want direct answers, not waiting for another doctor's visit after the examination is done. Instead, it will be quick and easy. It would lead to a cure, no deaths and a livable life. Many people have some very bad diseases or have life-threatening injuries they are going through that keep on getting worse. They can start developing new life-threatening problems that can be deadly. They do not want to suffer anymore. Many people live in small towns or suburbs, and some of them cannot afford healthcare. It would be better if more cancer treatment centers and other long-term care centers were built in every city. They should give every individual, rich or poor, an equal pay for their treatment and appointments. It would give them the quick care they need and it would be beneficial not only to the doctor, but to the patient who needs help the most. Also, I believe it would be much better if they also have centers for people that need transplants and amputations instead of going to the hospital to get the procedure done. Doctors should also train people to do their own procedures at home because they can take care of themselves fine if they know what to do. If possible, doctors can also visit homes and give good quality care for those who can move as well as others at the same price given to other patients in need of any kind of care. They have the right to have access to choose how want to be cared for. Whether at a clinic, a doctor's office, or in the comfort of their home, they will get equal care. These skills and advancements will help everyone out in the future. Patient's lives come first and I will be prepared to meet the challenges. Thank you for giving me the opportunity for this scholarship.
